Lack of parenting, toilets and showers were cleaned once a day. This lead to kids leaving ladies toilets atrocious, wiping of extrament on walls, not flushing, extrament on toilet seats, sinks not usable, showers you had to sweep out before you used even using flip-flops. Needs twice a day clean during busy school holidays. Despite stating dogs should be on a lead, at all times, several people ignored this.

It was a great price,with friendly staff.As a family of 7 over 3 tents we were all able to pitch nexted to each other which was great,the toilets and showers were clean and the water was always hot.

If I could change anything I would increase the choice of the shop,not by much just more of what there already is.I would also put in a late afternoon/evening food business like pizza's,nacho's,burgers things like that,even bacon rolls in the morning.I bet Treacle valley holiday makers would lap that up,I saw so many just eat delivery's,Treacle valley should get a slice of that pie.

Unfortunately our entire stay was tarnished by a few groups of campers who are apparently regulars and therefore think they own the site.

These people were continually drunk and openly taking drugs with their very young children running around wild and their older children terrorising other children.

One unlucky camper from another family with young children was attacked by an angry mob for walking behind their tents and was physically assaulted.
The owners/managers have no control over this behaviour and as described in another review, I felt like I was in a scene from shameless.

What a shame that these people are allowed to ruin other campers experiences.

The site manager kindly refunded our last night's payment as we didn't get a wink of sleep due to the fighting and noise and my children were traumatised.

I wish I had read some of the other reviews and I would have avoided this place.

The owner was super friendly and gave us lots of information about the campsite and the surroundings.

Loved that we could turn up at whatever time and choose our own pitch.

Lovely setting. Bell tent was fantastic. We had a few stormy nights and felt very secure. Kids loved the play area. Shower and toilet block were good and staff were quick to be cleaning. Shop was a bit sparce but the coffee machine was a great addition. Would def go again.

Not much in the shop. As lovely as the charging stations are, there were more padlocks available than boxes, and people did hog them, so we were phoneless for a time.

Location and pitch size/freedom to pitch.

Owner very reluctant to deal with a large problem group resident on his site for the whole summer holiday apparently. They were abusive, shouting and swearing and threatening us and other families. Do not camp here if you have kids!

Lovely campsite, very clean and tidy. The facilities are well looked after and the shower was always a warm. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We thought it was great that we could use old car wheels to have a fire in the evening. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The only thing I would say to improve would maybe be hand towels in the toilets as the toilet paper always rips and doesn’t really dry your hand properly.

Went for a week, probably too long for this site 1/2 nights would have been more than enough as a stop over but not for an actual holiday as mentioned for the comments I make below.
location was great to get to lots of activities and sites.

Lots and lots of disrespectful rowdy guests. (Uncontrolled I know, however I believe the price reflects the clientele)

Loved the feeling of friends and family even if you only met the first night. Others helped us with our tent, introduced us to others and everyone was so welcoming.

The wind, which is out of the sites control. It would be ideal if there was a few more flat areas.
