Not really a dislike but a recommendation. The wooden ramp to toilet is very slippery when wet, needs some grip

It was so peaceful and just what we needed. Level pitches, clean toilets and a friendly welcome. Children’s play area and lovely walks

Very spacious pitches with seating provided, nice communial area with fire pit, large and spacious with good walking trails.

No shower facilities and basic toilets that were a long distance from my pitch.

Wow! What can I say ❤️ Absolutely serene week away. Stayed for 4 nights and despite the rain we had the best time. First time having a go at 'wild camping' (whilst still having a toilet block available).

Such a lovely campsite with well thought out pitch spaces. We were so private and secluded in the spot we chose. Lots of wildlife to see and listen to. The occasional fighter jet overhead to mix things up.

The hosts are the most accomodating hosts we have ever met. Hayley is such a good cook and baker. Cakes were sublime and we bought some to takeaway too. We ate in the railway carriage but we could have had hot food delivered to us in the van, or eaten out in the woodlands, or eaten in the undercover outdoor seating area.

We took our dog and the woodland walk was great to take her around. We didn't need the exercise area but that is available to hire. She was welcome in the tea shop as well.

The toilets are clean and well maintained. There are plans to put showers in too soon I believe. The toilets didn't have electricity yet so take a torch!

You are given an information card when you arrive with all the details you need on it.

All in all, loved it! Will definitely stay again.

Not dislikes at all as we loved it 😁 Suggestions to improve -
- Clearer waste disposal and bins to be emptied on the walks. Lots of bins available, but they were mostly full whilst we were there.

Lovely stay, was only 1 night, but dogs and kids loved it.

Really nice layout of the site, well though space for the pitches and it feel like more improvements are on the way. A site with a great potential. Also, it was the first time ever we were personally approached by the owner to greet us, provide a leaflet with all the useful information and told us about everything we need - brilliant. Clean toilets, easy access to the fresh water source. Thank you very much to Alan and Hayley for having us!

Mosquitoes - be prepared with the strong repellents, but that's obviously not the site's issue.

No internet in the area, at least for Three, BT/EE & Vodaphone - something to bear in mind of you need the internet 24/7 etc.

Lovely rural location with some scenic woodland walks on site and some play equipment that my young kids enjoyed. No showers, but a serviceable toilet block and fresh water available. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Due to the rural location, the mosquitos and bugs come out in the evening so bring a some repellent or a citronella candle to keep them at bay. It was perfect little stay for us, we’ll be back at some point.

Broke my foot ( tripped over dog stake ) didn’t have chance to walk around as much as I would have liked

There’s a lot of long grass and stagnant water in ponds and ditches which unfortunately is home to mosquitoes. Can’t really be helped but if going you will need to be prepared if you are like me a magnet for the bloody things.
