Location- close to Chester. You could walk the greenway into Chester ( about 5 miles) and walk into Wales along the greenway. Lynden was very friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers were clean and there was a kettle for hot water. Has a nice pond and a wooden bar area where you could charge phones. Chester is a good location and there’s plenty to do nearby- walk the walls, zoo, Loggerheads country park, Delamere forest, Liverpool and West Kirby for walks.

Size of the pitch was small and the site was busy. Pitches needed to be more clearly identified. Sometimes the car park was full. Others on the campsite pitched too close to us. Sometimes all the plug sockets for charging phones were in use. It depends on the others who are on the campsite. We felt there was too many pitches for the size of the site. But it was peak season. Outside this time it could have been a peaceful site.

The site, beautiful lake. Friendly owners. Nice campers. Child friendly and safe.

Nothing really!

Very well kept site ran by a lovely couple who were more than happy to help us make the most of our stay.

My kids loved the piano and the indoor area was really useful. We played cards in there, made use of the fridge and made my morning brew. Toilets and showers excellent. Pitch was a good size.

The noise from the bar on Saturday and villagers walking past our tent to leave whilst shouting to each other. We'd had a long day and expected it to be quieter.

Friendly owners. The campsite was nice and quiet. Close to Chester.

Calm child friendly atmosphere. Host family were very friendly, had plenty of suggestions about what to visit in the area, especially child friendly things.
would definitely visit again when we're next in that part of the country.

Very peaceful place to stay. Toilets and showers are fine and you're not scrambling or coins for a shower since they are free.
I was using it as a base for cycling and there are loads of great non traffic options.
If you are caught in rain and have only a small tent the provision of the large marquee to use is great.
The best recommendation is that I'll happily come back.

Owners help me put the tent pegs as I forgot my mallet.
Lovely people who own King acre, would go back again.
Chilling family environment.
Owner said one of the showers weren’t running hot but I couldn’t complain as it was really refreshing using that shower on a hot day.

Weren’t allowed to park car next to tent, we kept things in the car as couldn’t fit it all in tent.

Beautiful site; family run, peaceful and amazing scenery! Owners are so helpful! Will be returning
