Fantastic site ran by a really lovely couple. Everything was clean and the site was tidy. The horses around the camp were a definite plus for our youngest so its a perfect site with younger children, especially being on the flat.
Would highly recommend as its so close to the amenities around Chester and only a 10 minute drive to the zoo.
Really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back here in the future.

Had a fabulous stay with our two grandchildren (almost 11 and 13) for two nights in a glamping tent and wished we had booked for three nights now. Lovely small site. Very friendly staff. Tent was spotless and beds comfy. Loved the fire pit outside so we were able to barbeque on it as well as light it later for some evening warmth. Toilets and showers were exceptionally clean. Loved it and will definitely do it again, hopefully soon.

    Disliked:

Just needed a table to eat at outside and play games on. maybe a folding one that could be put under the double bed.

Had a brilliant 2 night stay in the Wren tent, all the facilities were very clean. For our first camping trip, it was ideal as we didn't have to worry about putting a tent up and the beds were already there. Hopefully, we will return again sometime in the future!

    Disliked:

Didn't really dislike anything, although it would have been nice if the bar was open at weekends for everybody and not just private functions.

Firstly the location of the site is great, very close to Chester but in a quiet are making you feel like you're in a secluded rural location. We stayed in the 'Little Owl' bell tent, which was well equipped with a comfortable double bed and two small sofa beds. Bear in mind there is no electric or heating in these tents, so ensure you take adequate lights/layers. We stayed in July so no issues with cold, but I imagine it would be cold at other times of year. Nice fire pit and chairs in the garden area which is nice and private, surrounded by a living willow fence. The site itself appears to be mainly used as a wedding venue, we were the only guests on the site at all when we stayed. Toilet block was immaculate, and showers were very clean and nice. S

    Disliked:

Some areas of the site are a little run-down, and the footpaths to the pub shown on the information is very overgrown, so bear this in mind!

Wasps!! I was stung three times on one day.
