Walk around site, walk for food,

Weeds on pitch, but unkempt, entrance to Hoddum needs painted, all just small things that would make a difference, toilets need a refurb

We stayed one night as a stop-over to Scottish highlands and again coming back down. The site is well organised with all the amenities required for a motorhome. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The Courtyard pub/restaurant (dogs welcome) with outdoor Pizza ovens is nice and entertainment is often provided. Plenty of dog walks from the site through the woods or along the river. Close to Gretna Outlet village.

Clean facilities and friendly staff

Very very small pitch only just wide enough for our caravan. Also on a big slope. Unable to level caravan without more blocks. No fully serviced pitches. Shower block whilst clean with loads of very hot water. Very dated and tired looking.

We only stayed one night passing through to break our long journey it is a very nice site, very big, everything you need, shop, pub and restaurant, we purchased pizza which was very tasty. Plenty of toilets and showers available.

Very clean toilet block with hot showers. A beautiful setting with large pitches. The system of checking in was efficient with friendly staff. There was a well stocked shop on site. We only booked for one night on our way back to England from the ferry terminal at Cairnyarn and so did not use any electricity. As you have to buy a pre-paid card for electricity when you check in, we received a full refund on our departure. The bar area was comfortable and the weather was warm enough to sit outside on the patio area. This was the only area where you could connect to the site wifi which was very good in this area.

Very helpful staff, caravan stabiliser broke on arrival. Staff we’re more then helpful providing a temp solution so we could still enjoy our stay. Clean toilets and showers
The wood fired pizza was a good choice at the restaurant.

The pitches were not level resulting in our awning just reaching the ground at the rear of the caravan.
Very dark at night of having to walk to toilets, torch required.

Dogs MUST be kept on a lead, and owners abided by that which was s refreshing change!

Lovely clean site - large but quiet. Good facilities for kids. Castle is impressive to look at. Lots of woodland walks for dogs. Lovely helpful staff. Toilets and showers very clean.

Toilet blocks were well positioned although no soap at sinks. Showers were all in one block by reception which was quite a trek from our pitch.
