Fantastic and well kept pitches in the grounds of the Castle, great service at the onsite restaurant, the pizzas were delicious and done in the wood fired ovens. Superb site would definitely visit again.

The grounds are lovely, the pub is great and the shop, while small, has most of the food/ drink necessities you might need. The camping plots are pretty roomy and the fields seem well maintained. Toilets/ shower facilities were good and clean.

The mens showers are a bit dated, but they were clean and working.
Our first time camping in Scotland and we didn't realise no where was open on a Monday and Tuesday, including the on site bar/ restaurant. Although this was the same in Annan and Dumfries so maybe more of a comment on the country than this site in particular. Although ewe were hoping to feed the kids in town after we travelled on the Monday.

The management were rude there was a party all day spending money in the bar then 11 hits and your not allowed to even talk with your friends, the security are walking around like they are in the military barking orders, we left early and will never be back total waste of money

Level pitch and the generous size.

Pub and restaurant closed. Shop not stocking beer or wine. No bread, no milk available to purchase from shop. Very limited in terms of food to purchase.
No hot water and no showers in the facility in the middle of the site.

All of the above are essentials.

Great site, we used this as a stop over site for a few days whilst exploring Scotland.

Lovely site. Beautiful surroundings amongst the wonderful trees and castle. Great wide pitches. This site appealed to me as standard pitch site fee and pay electric you use which is fair especially like us as no EHU required. Shame coach house not open when we there tho. Excellent toliets and showers.

This is our fourth stay here. We love the site , good walks around the site, very friendly & helpful staff, very clean facilities. Great ambience, food & drink at The Coach House. Granddaughter loves the park

Nothing to dislike but room for improvement would be to upgrade the mini golf area with matting . Also, there’s no milk to buy in the shop, just the milk dispensing unit which is great but it wasn’t working the 2 days we were there.
