Liked: Lovely well kept friendly welcoming campsite. Good facilities and very peaceful. We camped during 40mph winds and was out through the day called to see if the tent was okay and was reassured by the lovely lady who was running it. The young gentleman that works there too is also lovely as well. Both couldn’t do enough to help nothing was ever too much trouble. No WiFi but who needs that when it’s meant to be an escape!

Liked: Rural peacefulness, no caravans. Ample space and choice of where to pitch. Use of fridge and toaster.
Lovely hot water.Disliked: Locks on showers very stiff, no coat hooks in the toilet cubicle. Food well out of date in the fridge and bins quite full. I did not witness a daily deep cleaning as advertised.
Hi and thanks for your review, however, there is no way I can't reply to your comments as I am shocked. We have had customers staying for long holidays so we will of course not touch any of the food in the fridge even if out of date as it is not ours to touch. I do not put any food in there myself, only customers, and so I will not remove it until the customer is gone to ensure they will definitely not be using it. The bins get changed every day, at least once a day as they refill so quickly, and me and my son are out there cleaning the absolute mess that people leave the place several times a day. There are signs to remind people to do basic things like wipe the toilet seat or shower down and kitchen after use as it is a communal area but nobody ever does so we go beyond to ensure it is a useable space for people. It is cleaned, tided and disinfected every day and throughout the day as is clear by all the other reviews here and in our guest book specifically mentioning our cleanliness.

Liked: Great facilities including fridge/freezer and kettle/microwave and the toilets showers were good. Super view from the top of the site.
Disliked: On arrival the bell is not working fully and it took a while to get a response
Thank you so much for your review, again we are so sorry about the bell and can confirm we have had a new one fitted so that shouldn't be a problem again.

Liked: Nice ponds with selection of birds, site was tidy. Unlimited pitch size if you’re lucky
Disliked: No level pitches they all sloped in different directions so not easy to pitch tent, washrooms very basic, only 3 showers with a toilet right next to them not nice having a shower while someone is using toilet next to you. Very few electric hook ups possibly only 12 around edges no twin hook ups hard to get a hook up as other campers not using electric had already pitched up electric expensive at £15 per night for a tent
Hi and thanks for your review. One of our showers is in a room entirely on it's own, and another in the large disabled toilet which again is isolated. There is only one shower in the block with toilets so I'm unsure why you have left this information.
