Lovely site, really scenic and great facilities. Pond for fishing, bar, shop and food van give lots of options. Showers really up to date, and clean. There are showers in the toilet area and also self individual self contained ones with lots of space.

It could be noisy, depending on who your neighbouring campers were. Was quiet by about 12.30.

Bar should be 7days a week

We stayed here last year and it was fantastic, peaceful and relaxing to the point we kept booking additional days. However this time was not as good one bit and has left us very disappointed. We shall not be returning.

The onsite kitchen was literally on reduced staff all of our stay and whenever we tried to book food was told it was full. Not good if you had planned to stay onsite and eat.
We paid a premium 10 nights for the adults only section, however on a number of occasions children were constantly running through the area, behind the caravans and riding bikes through screaming, this was sometimes up till 9pm at night, which . constantly set our dogs off barking, not that I'm against children as I'm a full time teacher, but when I go away, I want to relax and wind down, plus paying a premium for adults only is very disappointing. We complained a number of times to the staff who did apologise and try to resolve the issues, however as soon as the next holidayers arrived, we were back to square one.
There is a great short dog walk which the site has, which clearly states one way, starting at the adults section, however no one reads the signs and if you have reactive dogs, this is not good meeting another dog walker head on and causes major anxiety as the walk way is narrow.
For what you pay for this premium adults section the pitches are small, cramped and not level compared to what you pay at other sites with much larger pitches. Make sure you take additional blocks of wood for leveling.
Will not be returning again, as it seems to have lost its standards and we feel let down!

Absolutely beautiful site, fabulous facilities, it was just what we wanted after a few hectic months at home !!
Pitches were kept immaculate, and Barney's was a welcoming place for a beer (or two)

Really nice site pitches are flat and level small site friendly staff .small toilet block but never had a problem. Great location for York and the retail parks

No washing up place /spoke to the owner plan's are in place for one
