Liked: Lovely farm site. Beautiful views, good facilities, friendly host. Ducks, chickens and goats wandering around and sometimes coming to visit my tent. Able to watch the sheepdogs at work. A great stay and look forward to coming back.

Sorry about the difficulties with your pegs.
The ground here can be stony in places as we are situated on a beautiful flat plateau on a hill. We also hadn’t had any rain for over a month which literally baked the ground as per your photos.
The site naturally presents beautiful views looking down to the Vally below. Cheap tent pegs will suffer in parts here, best to bring stoney ground pegs rather than the “tooth pick” variety!
