The location and views. We were well received. Peace and quiet. However, the cockerel did give us a 5am wake up call just outside the tent!

Holes in lawn - fell over and twisted my knee.

really enjoyed our stay, the campsite was quiet with lovely views all around. great amenities on site, showers and bathrooms were very clean and easily accessible.

The view, the animals, the quietness, the quirkiness of the facilities, the funny noticed. and the friendly host.

On Tuesday morning the hot water was not working. I was ready for a shower and got a bit of a cold shock. Just one of those things, the boiler went on the blink my husband over heard.

The road is a little steep before the farm.

The ladies toilet door bolts are a little stiff.

The campsite location was perfect for exploring The Lakes. It was in a very pretty spot and was really quiet. The host was lovely and gave us all the info we needed. The facilities were always clean and well stocked, and the pitches were flat. There were also a few farm animals to see at the campsite which was a nice bonus! About a 30 minute walk from the site was a very nice pub. Would definitely recommend staying there.

I do like a rustic site and enjoyed the views , but the farm dogs toileting all around the site wasn't very nice. I would highly advise anyone with slightly reactive dogs to not visit as even though my dogs are secured at all times, being visited by up to five farm dogs, one of them quite aggressive, along with goats, sheep, hens, cockerels, geese and the odd horse wandering by, was too much for them to take! Maybe the site should consider making it a no-dogs site.

Lovely peaceful campsite with sweeping views and clean facilities. We enjoyed the situation on the farm with horses, dogs, goats and sheep about. Made some special memories watching mist collect in the valley below late in the evening. The farm dogs are roaming around, and we loved getting to know them (and they are well behaved, lovely dogs!) This does mean you should keep your food safely secured somewhere, but that is just common sense while camping anyway. I appreciated the fact that there was a spot to charge devices available, and I did get some 4G signal at the site (tesco mobile). We had a lovely time, and I would certainly come back.
