Good facilities and lovely views. Louise was very helpful with finding us a pitch.

Make sure you have pegs for rocky ground.

The farm pets were very friendly even the goat came to say hi and the dogs were adorable. Train cart was cosy. We bought logs from the village and used the cart as a base to explore the area is stunning.

Only thing we didn't like was people arriving to camp late at night who pitched right Infront of our cabin.

What an amazing few days away to de stress from work. The views are incredible, the farm itself was very clean and so were the toilets and showers . If you mess it, you should clean it I say. This is a proper working farm so expect spiders and webs in toilets - It’s not The Ritz. The host Louise couldn’t do more for you . We also bought pork sausages, lamb burgers & wood from their own farm too and they were to die for.

There were animals roaming around from dogs to goats to chickens and ducks. They came to our tent everyday and it was the highlight of my little get away.
The weather wasn’t in our favour but that didn’t bother us as long as we could relax.
I do recommend this farm to anyone who likes camping and I cannot wait to go back again .

It’s not a dislike it’s just my opinion but would have preferred for the toilets to be a little roomy as am very claustrophobic and I couldn’t get out any quicker.

The farm had a very welcoming feel. Situated in a lovely place. The fruit trees were just ripening so may have had a cheeky plum or 2. Lovely views from the field pitches. Nice level ground, a little rocky in some places.

The walks around the campsite are a mix, we did the big loop and ended up at Broughton-on-Furness. A lot of the walk to Broughton is pretty much a straight line. A nice few bits of forested bits but would have preferred more.

The area is incredibly beautiful and so peaceful, has some great walks and cycles nearby. The resident chickens, goat and ducks make for some entertainment.

We very much appreciate dog friendly sites, however is a little frustrating that the resident dogs are on the food scrounge during the day. Makes it difficult to feed your own dog when your having to guard their food from the others.

The site is very much advertised as being basic and a working farm, which I enjoy having grown up on farms myself. However, the standard of cleanliness of both the cabin we stayed in and shared facilities left us feeling pretty disappointed, so much so we left early. Could really do with a good deep clean all round if they are going to continue to ask for the prices per night that they do.

The view, the owner really nice and approachable. The animals on the farm.

Moss Side Farm is a really well organised and friendly place to stay. We sent a text message as requested when we arrived and Sharon, the owner, immediately got in touch and recommended a lovely pitch with a beautiful view.
The loos and showers were really clean and the whole site was really nicely maintained. There were a couple of sweet & friendly pygmy goats who came to visit & they did a great job of cleaning up any fallen leaves or apples!
Everyone on the site was friendly and respectful of the 10.30pm quiet time.
The site is in really beautiful and peaceful countryside and it's convenient for getting to lots of places.
As well as the tent pitches, they were also quirky, railway cabins that you could hire.
We will definitely come back here again!
