The view was lovely, the night sky was amazing. Enjoyed listening to owls and watching bats

The farm dogs spoiled our visit. All three of the terriers kept running and barking at our dogs. Also witnessed them doing that to other people with dogs.

Lovely quiet location

Did not meet any staff at sight on arrival or during stay.
Basic facilities which are not most inviting to use such as showers and toilets. No electric points.
Lack of gravel pitches and no onsite lighting.
Very little investment in site

I liked everything about this place. I have been there 4 years ago. Peace and quiet. Amazing views. Toilet, shower, washing up facilities. We stayed in the rail cabin which was enough for us. Highly recommended.

It's not dislike. I was concerned about farmer dogs. There were few and they all were beging for food. I don't know if they just greedy or they were hungry.

The facilities were brilliant coupled with an amazing host, who was extremely friendly, funny and easy to find. She was perfect. Me and my partner loved her and loved staying the 4 nights at the campsite. There were free plug sockets, toilets and showers. All nice and clean. There was also a notice board with nice walks and locations which we took full advantage of. Great priced wood and firestarters and even took card to pay for them! The view was stunning, at the top of a hill on a slight cliff overlooking a beautiful valley. On a farm so had lots of cute animals roaming around who were super friendly. There was some glamping rail pods next to the camping bit and some youngsters kids ran on to play and the owner was extremely quick to nicely explain to them that it was adult only. Big props to her for that. All other pitchers were very nice and friendly and pleasant neighbours.
Super flat and nice pitching area. As you have to book it guarantees a very nice and very large pitching area to spread out and don't feel cramped in.

The closest pubs were a 45 minute walk to Broughton in furness or a 15-20 min drive to Coniston. Bit of a shame or maybe I'm just a pi** head.

A lovely peaceful site, with gorgeous views over the western fells. Free range chickens and goats roaming about. Gorgeous 40 minute flat walk to Broughton

Views were spectacular, local walks fabulous, all the doggies and chickens running around. Good ground and lots of different pitches

Shower facilities a little cramped but at the same time what do you expect whilst camping.
Would camp here again 👍
