We loved our stay at The Den & Orchard campsite. It was perfect for our needs as a young family. The pitches are great sizes, ample room to set up and we loved that every pitch had a picnic bench. Matt and Natalie were great hosts, very informative and really helpful in accommodating us, especially as we had to move pitches after our first night due to an invasion of wasps and me being allergic. We loved that there were ample toilets and showers, we didn't have to wait once, and they were in pristine condition. It was clean and very well looked after.

There wasn't anything to dislike! Perhaps se additional facilities at the family washroom end like another freezer/microwave and kettle would be good but not wholly necessary, we wouldn't have used it. Or less wasps (!!) But that was out of their control.

Absolutely fantastic quiet site. Nice and safe for children. Will be back next year for sure. Would recommend to friends and family. Really nice location near cheddar, wookey hole, Longleat and much more.

Nothing to dislike.

The site was small but well laid out and well maintained.
We liked that there were lots of picnic benches available as well as access to fire pits and BBQs.
The play area was good. The size of the site also meant that it was really safe for the kids to play as well as there being gated access.
Location is great for Longleat safari park.
The washing facilities were in a good condition and clean.
The staff were really helpful and friendly especially when we had an issue with our tent and were happy to help how they could.
Due to the issue with our tent we also had 1 night in one of the pods which was great. Compact but clean and well maintained.

Excellent campsite , really lovely and helpful owners . Stayed in a lovely new pod which was comfy with all mod cons. Great location.

The campsite was clean, facilities were fab, every pitch had electric and water. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The onsite restaurant served amazing food - totally recommend.

Lovely small and friendly camp site, great for kids. They have a great play area for kids and small games room, the owners are friendly and helpful. Check in was made easy, all information was sent by email prior to travelling so was able to drive straight in and settle in the hut. The shepperds hut was small, but I wasn't expecting anything big, and was just the right size for me and my daughter. There's lots of local attractions nearby with in 30/40 minutes drive, and a local co op only 5 minutes drive into Frome. Everyone had allocated parking next their pitch. We had a gas cooker provided with gas and cooking utensils and shared fridge. Toilet and shower facilities were a short distance away and kept clean, didn't have to queue.

Club house / cafè only open on certain days. Couldn't lock cabin from inside but door does shut.

Welcome email had so much useful info advising inventory and all important gate and door codes. The key pads even illuminate in low light.
The Crabby Apple shepherd’s hut was equipped with a raised large really comfortable bed. And a thoughtfully provided step for those of us who are vertically challenged. The “kitchen” was provided with plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery, basic cookware and utensils, along with a washing up bowl, dishcloth and tea towel. There was also gas canister powered hobs and a kettle. There was also a fold up single bed and a chest of drawers. Thoughtful provision of a game of ring toss hung on the door. The outside area was screened off by slatted fences and little trees. There was a wood burner as well as treadle table and wooden corner chair/table unit as well as a decent sized garden umbrella Overall a very cute, affordable, highly recommended space of don’t want to use tent or motorhome. They have their own kitchen on site “Fudeboy”. Cajan vegan fusion which smelled delicious, but I already had meal plans off site
A lovely site with good facilities including grey and chemical toilet waste, showers that were lovely and powerful, toilets and washing up areas as well as a play park for children. Very well cared for grass areas and packed gravel road.

The only thing I would have liked was mosquito netting so the window could be left open at night, or a fan. And maybe usb ports in the extension leads. But these did not detract from a lovely stay

Lovely little site with excellent clean amenities , the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, service was 10/10 . Was a excellent site for Kids and adults x

Lovely pod, had everything myself and 9 year old needed for a couple of nights away. Really impressed by how clean everything was and well equipped. The site was easy to find and well placed for our days out.
