Old Apiary Field primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Only stayed for 1 night, but would have loved to stay for longer. Great facilities, cafe was fab. It was really clear how much the owners and employees cared about the site. Will definitely be recommending!

Newquay, Cornwall, England
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Some flat pitches available as the camping ground used to be golf course. Near A30 so could easily reach beaches and Newquay
Disliked Everything just felt a little odd… did not feel like the camping element of the site was a priority. Severely lacking in facilities. 3 washing up areas for the whole camp area and 7 showers total for whole of camp so often waiting for facilities. The pub on site was only open for half the week, so didn’t get to use it which was a shame.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you liked our camping field and the location of our site. We do have further temporary showers and toilets on the top camping field, it looks like unfortunately you had not been informed about those upon arrival. The pub is currently not opening regularly due to staffing issues and staff members isolating. We have currently a food van parking near reception selling breakfast in the morning and burgers in the evening in order to offer some catering on site.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked The facilities, though basic and often messy, worked perfectly, plenty of toilets for the amount of people staying and plenty of washing up sinks. Hot water was always available. Very near bus stop that takes you to most local towns.
Disliked It was just a steep field… the facilities were all located at the bottom of one field, so could be a bit of a trek to the toilet.
