Liked Beautiful site. The facilities were well set-up and kept very clean and well stocked. (I do agree with some of the other reviews that they could use a few more toilets/showers - but I can't fault what was there at all!) Ellie was very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the farm dogs as well. We had an electric pitch which was nice and flat and the pitches are a really great size. And having the space between pitches was a really nice touch. It is definitely on our "will visit again" list! We also attended the Wild Sauna while we were there which was lovely.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Good flat pitches. Shop is convenient and well stocked. Play area is nice and the kids had fun.
I don't want to put it as a dislike because the toilets were clean and absolutely fine. But for the size of the site they could use a couple more blocks at opposite ends of the fields.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, with regards to the toilets they are in one area due to drainage, we havent had problems with people waiting to use the facilities

Liked Wonderful location, good clean facilities, we had a really nice pitch. Just an overall really lovely site and we really enjoyed our stay.
Disliked We weren't big fans of the washing up at the pitch without hot water taps.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We are a rural site, clue is in the name and we have never wanted to be a formal site and as such, we offer water taps throughout the site and guests are informed ahead of their arrival (in the instructions), of this. It's camping, we want to remain rural and boiling a kettle for hot water is the option for our guests at their pitch. I believe we did provide you with a couple of bowls of hot water during your stay so I think we helped you with that. I was pleased however you will visit again.

Liked The owners were really lovely and friendly. Nice, level pitches. It was quiet when we were there so they let us choose a pitch. Good, clean facilities. We would definitely visit again.
Disliked We wondered if there would be enough facilities if they were full. It was perfect when we were there.

From the manager: Hi Cara - thank you for leaving us such a lovely review. I saw your question re facilities, and yes, we have enough loos/showers/washbasins/washup sinks for a 60-pitch site (6 x showers, 8 x loos, 8 x washbasins). But as we only operate on 45 pitches we rarely, if ever, have queues for anything, even in the middle of the peak Summer weeks. It was lovely to meet you all and really do hope to see you all again another time. With kindest regards, Ali & Neil

Liked Beautiful site with a friendly, helpful owner. The children loved the pond and boat. Facilities were clean and well kept.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. Only tiny problem we had was no loo roll one morning in the toilets.

Liked Really lovely small site. Could see the play area easily from our pitch (although I think we were about the furthest pitch from it!) so the kids could go and play while I was at the pitch. Nice flat space. Good clean facilities. The kids also enjoyed the horses in the field next to the site and the small planes flying overhead. Also very friendly owner - we arrived later than the normal cut off for arrivals but when I emailed ahead of time to give an approximate arrival time they said it was no problem and someone was there to meet us when we arrived.
Disliked We unfortunately had one very inconsiderate neighbour our first night (which is not the campsites fault so I have disregarded for my overall rating) but possibly some stated quiet hours or something may have helped a bit.

Liked Good size pitch area. Nice location. Good communication before our stay to put us in pitches with family and answer questions.
Disliked Hot water was not working most of the time we were there. We had to buy wood for fires from the campsite but the wood we were sold was poor quality. Play area for kids was a bit small/limited.
