Liked Facilities extremely clean. Ease of check in. We asked for a corner area as we have a dog that sleeps outside. We were given a lovely corner pitch, with a large tree next to it which gave shade for our dog.
Disliked Although we didn't bring the grand children, had we done, there is nothing at the site to entertain them. This is not a complaint, however perhaps a play area, zip wire, swings, climbing frame etc may be worth considering.
Service at the Reedham Inn could perhaps have been a bit quicker, the hand written sign stating "There may be wait at busy times" is a bit of a give away. Alex was excellent, although you could tell he was under pressure at times. Another member of staff would most certainly be welcomed by the team.

Liked Lovely site well situated for all the local places to visit, great nearby pubs dog friendly and welcoming, would recommend The plough and sun inn. The facilities at Tranwell farm are immaculate, very clean, and the camping pods have everything you need, well equipped and clean, and some lovely extras (hot choc, marshmallows and biscuits) Sarah and Philip have definitely thought of everything. The camp site has a decent dog walking field, as well as a forest walk which takes you over the sheep field. Sarah was at the site when we first arrived (Use google maps, our sat nav took us the wrong way) and we later met Philip when we mislaid the pod key, and he came out with a spare, A lovely couple very friendly, and live on site so just a phone call away. We are all ready planning our next visit here, and would definitely recommend the site, it has campervan pitches along with flat grass pitches for tents. Its only a small site which makes it lovely and quiet.
Disliked nothing it was perfect!

Liked Lovely well kept camp site. Access to the secluded beach was fantastic for the dog.
Disliked Was pitched next to a stream near the toilet and shower block. We had torrential rain and the stream began to rise leaving us with a very muddy pitch. Was getting worried that it may have flooded. One of those things.

Liked Lorraine was very friendly and welcoming. It was nice and quiet and we were allowed to light a fire, although we did go prepared to ensure it was off the ground. Toilets, although only 2, were clean as was the shower.
Disliked The ground was very hard making it difficult to secure the tent pegs and the dog leash. If you just want to go for a quiet stay and not drive too far, this is the site for you. If you are looking for a site with a local pub, it's a long walk to the nearest one. The dog did enjoy the 3 mile hike to Cropton. A good central location for walkers and good base for local attractions.
