From the manager: Thank you very much Iris! We are glad that you liked the facilities and the walks from the park. We have looked into the possibility of having an onsite shop before. First of all, we don't have room and secondly, when we trialled the local shop making deliveries here, no one bought anything and so it wasn't worth their while them coming along. Our last warden also set up a shop from his pitch selling charcoal and camping supplies but again, no one bought anything as the majority of our customers bring everything with them. We do have all the usual supermarkets nearby, a shop in the village and Deliveroo and Morrisons will deliver groceries here. We would love to see you again and hope that this doesn't put you off. Orange Canvas 2 bedroom ready tent
Liked Nice area, peaceful
Disliked Entrance looks like a dump all sorts of things on the floor, parts of cars, etc.
There is only one single compost toilet with a single shower in the same room.
You have an are you can wee but you can't see if there is someone there.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments and I regret that you were disappointed for your stay. May I suggest that when selecting a site for your next 'camping' experience you select a Holiday park rather than a pop-up campsite on a working farm or such as ourselves and agro-forestry project which aims to provide an experience close to nature and 'off-grid' regenerative agriculture with all the features of land management by traditional manual methods rather than heavy machines. Pilgrim Bivouac aims to provide a base from which visitors can explore the unspoilt beaches and local walks and perhaps a visit to the unique ancient chapel of St. Peter's-on-the-Wall. Our facilities and activities tend to be rather limited to wild plant spotting, and butterfly, moths, lizard and bird spotting and chicken and goat watching.... perhaps a little tree-climbing. with sincere regards, Ted.
