Liked A pleasant site in a good setting. Secure. Good size pitches. 16 amp electricity is good. Quiet. Easy to get to the bus stop.

Disliked The facilities were good but insufficient for the size of the site. For us the lack of hot water for washing up is a real downside. We didn’t need to fill the motorhome with water but there was nowhere to do this as the water on the pitch is a good way from the hard standing. Altogether it was overpriced for the facilities available.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. As explained by the Campsite Host upon arrival, the campsite is open all year round so having a heating appliance connected to this area would be extremely inefficient, and may run the risk of burst pipes and blockages that may lead to additional issues to an appliance placed here in winter. Heated water is available in the Toilet and Shower facilities, that are supplied with heaters to maintain ambient temperatures. Additionally many campers, due to the nature of camping, make use of there own water heating equipment when using this area. Hardstanding pitches have a fresh water point that is shared at a ratio of 1 per 2 pitches, located in-between the pitches. This has always been adequate for previous campers, and has never been raised as an issue before. Those who have not had a long enough hose pipe, have moved their vehicles closer to the waterpoint while filling up. There are also 2 points in the non-electric field that are also kept free for campers and their vehicles to access and drive up to. Additional there is another point located on hardstanding that is kept free for campers to use, which if this requirement had been raised with staff, they could have provided instructions on how to find it. On the finial opinion raised, the campsite owners and the campsite manager conduct regular market reviews each year to ensure prices are kept as competitive as possible while also reflecting the true costs of operating a campsite, that are not always fully understood or considered.
