Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked I liked the fact that the campsite was quiet and loved the waking round the lakes some Amazing views
Disliked We didn’t like the fact there was a lot of sharp stones about on the campsite and when we deflated our tent and packed it away it had a hole in the bottom of the floor of the tent so we had to use our puncture repair kit. It was only our second time of using the brand new tent and now that’s happened so very disheartened. The camp site is fine if you have a campervan or caravan but not ideal for tents as they have really stoney gravel plots to park your car but this just goes all in the grass.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the campsite, as well as the walks and views around our lakes. We’re very sorry to hear that the bottom of your new tent was damaged during your stay. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, particularly as it was only the second time you had used it. Our site is ideally suited to self-contained campervans and caravans, although we do welcome tents. The gravelled sections are provided for parking vehicles beside the grass pitches, but we appreciate that loose stones can sometimes spread onto the surrounding ground. We will review the pitch and parking areas and remove any larger or sharper stones where possible. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your comments will help us make improvements for guests staying in tents in the future.
