Liked The location alongside Garda Lake is very nice.
Disliked The toilet and shower block is anything but boutique “Tired and dirty”. We have travelled through Italy for 2.5 months and therefore stayed at a number of locations this being one of the most expensive. Was it worth the money no!
During our stay we decided to visit Milan (wish we had not) as we had all our keys stolen on the Metro. This made our Garda visit extremely stressful as we now we had no keys for our Motorhome and tow car. The car was in a multi-storey car park in Desenzano. We hired a car as soon as we got off the train so that we could get about and commence trying to sort our awful situation. We immediately went to Sivinos to inform the team. 9 days in a hotel and the situation was finally sorted new habitation keys flown from the UK locksmith removed steering security bars. Local agent coded keys coming out to the site after hours to resolve this nightmare. Many people in Desenzano helped us and went beyond something we will be eternally grateful for.
Now this is where events get even more stressful the manager at Sivinos Camping (Francesco) despite us keeping the team fully informed with our situation. Phoned me to tell they had a solution and would remove our Motorhome from the pitch which it was now overdue on. I explained that if they attempted to do this it would cause significant damage to our Motorhome both because of its configuration and the locality on site. Francesco showed no consideration for our predicament and was quite happy to go ahead and damage our vehicle so that our unit was not blocking his pitch. After a strong retort from me. He later phoned to confirm that they would not touch our Motorhome. We understood our vehicle was causing them a problem with future guest due to arrive, we had kept the team well informed with a probable timeline. Only after Francesco had spoken with his director did things calm down. Zero consideration for the situation we found ourselves in. We had already stated we would pay for the additional days. Not that we would be there. Simply awful appreciation for our dreadful situation.
I should add the young ladies in the office were lovely and the only ones that showed any compassion for our sorry tale.

From the manager: Thanks Alan for your feedback. We are sorry for your experience in Sivinos and in Milan. About toilet shower block we take your words has a way to improve our services. About the rest, who is writing is Francesco and I believe you could express your opinion in an other way, because it is not true that we did not care about your situation and we dimostrated 0 consideration. Because your issue we cancelled 3 more reservation and we spoke with our guests describing all what happened and we refund their vacation 8I personally told you it when you came at the reception). Removing your camper it was not a solution, I just told you by phone and later I rang you at the same day telling you're right about movement of your caravan. We work hardly to guerantee a nice holiday to our guests and, for sure, we face about everything can happen with interest, for that reason we recover our guests and waiting for you and solution of your issue.
