Dalkeith, Lothian, Scotland
Primitive grass tent campsite (three person, small)
Liked Site is in the country park grounds and has festive feel to it.
Disliked We booked for two nights and only stayed one due the weather turning to rain.
You aren't allowed to take your car onto the tent field and it is quite a walk to bring your camping gear from your car, wheel barrows are provided. We left early because we didn't fancy moving out camping gear in the rain. When you have a small tent you rely on your car for storage. Not enough toilet and shower facilities for the amount of campers

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Site is at the foot of Ben Nevis, amazing scenery. Managed to pitch near the road, so we weren't too fair from our car. The restaurant food was amazing.
Disliked Busy site and was not given a pitch number, we told to pitch anywhere, despite booking in advance.
Toilets and showers were very busy, but were kept clean

Rooftop tent primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Lovely small site, nice and peaceful, toilet and shower were very clean, small site shop which sells essentials. Perfect location for Inverness and visiting Culloden battle field and clava stones. The site also has its own small stone circle and bronze aged burial mound.
Disliked Tent pitches are bit exposed, it was very windy when we stayed, which is no fault of the site

Montrose, Angus, Scotland
Powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Stayed one night, lovely sheltered pitch. Toilet block and kitchen were amazing. I really liked the individual toilet and shower units, which added additional privacy. Site overall has thought of everything, covered BBQ area and sheltered seating area, to get out of the rain. Children's play area was very impressive with a tractor and sail boat for the wee ones to enjoy.
Disliked Nothing to dislike
