Power optional cement/asphalt RV campsite (large)
Liked Small, quiet campsite with immaculately clean bathrooms and a good laundry.
The owners are friendly and helpful.
The position of the site is great in that it's close to Hadrian's Wall and the Roman forts and in a superb dark sky area.
There is the option to purchase breakfast baps and homemade cakes.
Disliked We just fitted in a 7.5m motorhome but anything longer wouldn't have room.

From the manager: Hello David, Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. We're so pleased you enjoyed our campsite and the area around. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful landscape and interesting Roman history around us. Our skies in the Winter particularly are spectacular. Our pitches across the site vary in size and the pitch you were allocated is suitable for a van up to 7.5m. However if anyone has a van longer than that (up to 8m) we do have suitable pitches elsewhere on the site which provide ample room. Best wishes Tracy

FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (large)
Liked This is one of the best sites that we have ever stayed in, both in Europe and the U.K.
The facilities are superb with the largest showers ever. The bathroom facilities definitely rival a 5 star hotel, with luxury soaps and hand cream and so many thoughtful extras provided.
It is also the only site where we have been given a complimentary welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, had complimentary ice for cold drinks and complimentary use of a washing machine and tumble drier.
The sites themselves are large and flat, each being fully serviced.
The owners are so friendly and helpful and keep this adult only site immaculate.
I will most definitely return here the next time we visit this area.

Coverack, Cornwall, England
Powered gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked This is a fantastic site with excellent amenities, large pitches and everything you could need during your stay, including large washing lines with pegs as well as driers. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The site is immaculate and the sanitary blocks were spotlessly clean.
It is situated in the middle of the countryside and is peaceful yet it's not too far to walk along the country lane to the nearby harbour village with a small selection of places to eat and drink.
Disliked The only thing this site lacks is a drive over motorhome emptying drain.

From the manager: Thank you for staying with us in May David and for taking time to write this lovely review. It is good to know what our guests like about our park and we appreciate your comments on cleanliness and our facilities. We are lucky to be in a quiet location with no main roads nearby, very peaceful but with Coverack just a short distance away with everything the village has to offer. We have no mains drainage at Little Trevothan, being so rural, and have cess pits for waste water. We are hoping to change this with our own treatment plant in the future when we will be able to consider drive-over drainage for motorhomes.

Powered gravel RV campsite
Liked This is a quiet, small site in beautiful countryside. The gravel pitch was quite level with a large artificial grass area next to it for awnings etc.
Disliked The site was in two half's, one part as a caravan club certified location and the other as a standard campsite. Each had their own set of toilets and showers with the club sites only being accessed with a key code. We stayed in the standard site and there were only 2 toilets and showers for everyone, with the toilet and shower being together in one room. This meant that at busy times there was quite a queue as if 2 people were having a shower there were no toilets available ( or vice versa). One morning I had to wait 15 mins for a toilet.
It would also be good if a drive over motorhome emptying drain was available.

Liked This was a lovely, quiet site with great views of the sea. For me though, the highlight was the heated indoor swimming pool, which I used every morning. The pool was one of the warmest that I have ever been in and was spotlessly clean. A booking system had just been introduced to use the pool and while we were there it was not busy.
The toilet and shower facilities for the campsite were well maintained, although during busy periods having only 2 toilets may result in queues.
The touring sites were gravel and reasonably level with a good sized pitch of grass alongside each one for an awning.
Disliked The site would benefit from a drive over motorhome emptying point.

From the manager: Can seem like that on country roads, in road miles we are 5 miles from Ullswater and for south lakes, lake Windermere is 25 miles.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. You don't have to be resident to use the walks from our car park. Parking is £2.20 per day - but the cost of the ticket is redeemable against any purchase over £6 in the café.
