Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely site, exactly as advertised, huge pitches, lovely hosts, came away with apples and plums, very quiet with only occasional traffic noise, nice hot shower (coin operated), advertised as no frills but in our opinion absolutely perfect (it's no hardship to boil a kettle to wash up at your pitch, you're camping after all), considering it was harvest time and a fleet of lorries left and returned we never heard a thing, hats off to the hosts, a perfectly well run site with absolute consideration for guests at all times, will definitely return.

Disliked As another reviewer already added, the pictures are not accurate, we are from an equestrian background, so more than used to an outside environment. This site in our opinion should not be on this website, having wildcamped at numerous locations would consider that a better option. To say it's an eyesore with dilapidated facilities would be an understatement, in all honesty I wouldn't wildcamp here, packed in like sardines, views of steptoes yard, filthy , absolutely stinks like raw sewrage, abandoned caravans and vehicles to look at, drove in and immediately out and found somewhere else to stay . The guy that met us was very informative about the local area and very nice , but I would not in any way shape or form recommend this site

Liked Stayed in campervan with awning, lovely site, the showers were lovely and hot brilliant that loo and shower were in the same room, separate men's and ladies loos aswell , ladies had a hairdryer, nice pot wash area with private booths, washing machine available, and freezers, hosts were lovely and very helpful, nice on site shop with essentials and firewood and firepits free of charge but not many. Literally on the sea so lots of seagulls which were being fed by a camoer during our stay so very noisy but in no way detrimental to the site. There's a bar and watersport centre aswell a very short walk , and an onsite ice-cream parlour with cakes.
