Primitive grass campsite
Liked Quiet and scenic location
Lots of nice hedge birds
Disliked Portaloos we're effing gross. Two were out of action due to being clogged up, the others either had bowls caked with s*** or seats covered in p***. Not sure what liquid they're using but it's not the usual blue stuff that neutralises odours, but some browny green stuff that doesn't!
Pitches pretty much all on a slope, which would be gentle enough to level with chocks in a van, but not so convenient in a tent.

St Austell, Cornwall, England
Powered grass campsite
Liked We liked everything really, super peaceful site surrounded by wildlife (including rabbits, swallows and a family of geese!), trees and ponds, large flat pitch with plenty of room for van and awning, friendly owners, small shop for essentials and vending machine for snacks, lovely warm and powerful showers, all the usual washing and waste facilities etc, and a bar which we didn't use but looked good from the outside. We will definitely be back, probably at the same time of year when it was very quiet compared to other sites we passed closer to town.
We were cycling and it's a short ride (up hill!) to the Lost Gardens and the mostly off road cycle track to St Austell.

Liked Friendly staff.
Pitches on flat, even grass.
Cheap price.
V peaceful location - not overrun with kids etc.
Did a private riding lesson, which was great.
Saw a wild barn owl on a fence post!
Shower was okay.
Disliked Toilets weren't in the best state - leaking tap and soaking stone floor.
No real facilities for washing up.
