Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely quiet place (except for the aeroplanes) and the deer in the evenings and mornings were delightful.
Disliked Not supposed to park next to a tent.
Ground very uneven.
Toilets very basic.
No showers ; no hot water; no washing up facilities except a basin next to the urinals
No waste or recycling facilities

From the manager: We’re very sorry that you didn’t have a positive experience with us, although it’s good to know that you enjoyed the peace, quiet and wildlife. It is hard to avoid aircraft noise this close to Heathrow, so that is rather beyond our control. We would urge all prospective guests to check our terms and conditions before booking and we address your points below: Thank you for providing an opportunity for us to reiterate that parking beside tents is not generally permitted. We try to create a car-free zone so that children can play in the part of the field designated for tents. As stated in the description of the site, the site does have some undulations and we recommend sturdy footwear. The toilets are indeed, as stated, basic and we do not have showers here. Rubbish can be deposited in the bins at the gate. We very much welcome guests who are keen on a back to nature break, and we’re sorry that our campsite didn’t meet your expectations. Best wishes Camping Management
