Liked Campsite looked lovely clean and tidy with good facilities had a walk around when arrived trying to find someone Lovely Mamers worth a stroll had great meal and cold beer perfect

Disliked Arrived at 2pm to find everything shut up reception closed rang number on door was informed reception opens at 6pm was little gutted as we had been travelling for 5 hours We wanted to pitch our tent and walk into town so we had 4 hours to kill not ideal but excepted this fact

Liked We loved Everything the castle was amazing magical and took us back to a bygone time gutted we are not here for the medieval weekend next weekend Walked into town and had lovely cold beer at local bar It was clean lovely and we will defenatly but back next year for a longer stay

Liked Madame Béatrice merci merci merci we loved our stay with you thank you for sharing your amazing home with us ❤️ We loved the resturant the pizzas were amazing we ate there a lot the reception had ice cream cold beer and drinks we used a lot after hot gravel rides and paddle boarding it was perfect The toilets and showers could do with updating but always clean and tidy

Disliked Food was outstanding in the restaurant, sadly the service was very poor. Left sat waiting for ages which was ashame as put us off using it more Toilet and showers smelly very busy site lots of one night stopovers which spoilt it for us as every night mad influx of vans and campers tents till late arriving making lots of noise Would not stay here again but the area was outstanding and beautiful lakes for paddleboarding and gravelling

For that reason, we are genuinely surprised by the **1/10 rating – the lowest possible score on Pitchup**. We fully respect that not every stay will meet every guest’s expectations, but such a score is difficult to reconcile with the very positive aspects you describe in your own review. We apologise that the restaurant service was slower than expected. August is our busiest period and, at peak moments, waiting times can unfortunately be longer. We also take your comment regarding the sanitary facilities seriously. They are cleaned daily and monitored throughout the day, although they are naturally used very intensively during the August high season. Regarding your main criticism that the campsite was very busy, with many overnight guests and arrivals: your stay took place during the absolute peak of the August holiday season. We welcome both longer-stay holidaymakers and travellers stopping for one or several nights, so arrivals and departures are a normal part of campsite life, especially in August. For guests who prefer a very quiet campsite with fewer arrivals and less movement in the evenings, we would recommend travelling in the spring or late season, when the atmosphere is naturally much quieter. We are sorry that the busy August atmosphere was not the experience you were looking for. However, we do feel that a **1/10 rating gives future guests a very different impression from the experience described in the review itself**.
