Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked The camping area is lovely and the rustic build toilet and shower works well. Loved the addition of some flowers.
Disliked The old horse training area was a bit weedy but I understand a work in progress. The road noise a bit loud but didn’t stop me sleeping ! £30 to park up with no EHI v £20 to camp in the field seems a little lopsided to me when further away from facilities and nearer the road.

Liked Great site as lucky to find a flat and quieter little area. Facilities great, coffee/bakery great idea although I didn’t use. Reception/shop well stocked. Great kids area and brilliant dog exercise area including long and short grass and agility obstacles.
Disliked Very slopey in the top field

Liked Fantastic pub with great beers and amazing food! The camping field is just adjacent and just pick a spot. Sheltered and quiet with running water and toilets in a trailer unit but kept clean. They do a great beer festival every November opening up a larger field.
Very handy dog walks and Cropton village hall often has pop up tea shop.
Great launching spot for exploring north York moors etc.
Disliked Nowt to dislike about the place!

Liked Great quiet spot, nice grass and mostly level. Able to park up so had view down the valley and across it.
Was shorter visit than planned and weather not kind this morning either but rubbish bins and water available along with EHU.
I spent many an hour on rifle ranges at Warcop so quite nostalgic to hear rifle fire from my van!
I also thought I’d paid on pitch up but received a polite message and duly paid up! Thanks for being kind to an idiot ! 🤪
Disliked Finding it. I did street view recce, even os maps, (never give an officer a map!). Still missed the turning as sign was very small and lots of other signage near it. Spotted it travelling the other way but again too late. What 3 words location or bigger sign may be helpful or the description of just before dual carriageway starts.

Liked It’s rural location. You choose which pitch you want to use. No faffing checking in, book online and pull up! New toilets and shower block very nice.
Nice handy walk for the dog nearby.
Half way between Whitby and Scarborough or just down from Ravenseat so could easily pick up the coastal path.
I had a lazy weekend doing jobs and tidying the van so stayed put and it was lovely.
Disliked The new pitch grass is a bit patchy. But think it’s fairly new and grass not taken and dry weather. Everywhere else the grass is immaculate and lush.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite (adults only)
Liked Great location and immaculately kept site. Greeted on arrival and told where everything is.
Strictly no arrivals before 2.30pm as single track lane but few passing places so not an issue if going out and about.
Great location in side of river tees which is lovely and has a small pebble beach so dog loved getting in. Be careful as still fast flowing though.
Toilet facilities lovely and new and clean, closed between 12-2 for cleaning but a disabled loo is an available at this time.
Reception has all sorts of essential supplies both food and camping/canning incl a chiller of beer and wine !
Robin comes around and delivers fire pits available for hire and wood to buy which is a great service if you like this but don’t want to haul your own.
Adult only site but Robin will not tolerate people who are too raucous and loud too late so if want a party venue this isn’t it.
Short walk into town for a coop, butchers, bakery/cafe, two pubs both doing food and a great fish and chip shop.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Nice site and grass kept cut short.
Toilet and shower block nice - 7 toilets and four showers in the ladies. Looks like a disabled unit next to gents.
Disliked Site is on a slope and some large gravel stones kept nearly falling over. Did have a circular hole with grass so not obvious and found it the hard way. Reported to staff but not resolved during our stay. Maybe they didn’t want to disturb us?!

Liked So very close to urban life but felt quite rural.
The flowers and areas look pretty so not just a field with a portaloo!!
Secure electric gate - given a fob (£20 deposit ) for the gate.
Fresh duck eggs and homemade Jam available
Great field set down for parking area for tents.
Short walk back up the road to the pub (I didn’t go as only there one night).
Mick and Heather were very welcoming
Disliked Drive a bit rough so be careful with some vehicles but my sprinter was ok.

Liked Nice clean well layed out site with picnic benches and area for bbq in touring area. Short walk to toilet block.
Love site is next to coastal path and amazing views and can watch sunset if lucky as we were.
Also had dealings with park dean for booking as added two nights on to same pitch and then decided to travel up day earlier and pitch was available for just £14 (sun night).
Entertainment facilities good - see photos for menus. Didn’t eat here though as self sufficient or ate whilst out for the day.
Short walk down steps or the road into Eyemouth. Great beach for the dog to run on. Great selection of food takeaways and couple of pubs. Enjoyed the deep fried haggis from the chippy!
Disliked Bit windy but that’s to be expected on a cliff top. Decent wind break sorts that out mostly.

Liked Nice clean and tidy site, everything well signed. Good communication with regards to pitch number before arrival and mobile to contact if needed. Only stayed one night so didn’t use electricity. Water and waste facilities but nothing else.
Disliked Main Road noise but not too bad but I don’t live near main road.
