Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England
1 bedroom shepherd's hut
Liked This place is an absolute gem. Peaceful, relaxing and surrounded by birdsong, in the wonderful countryside atmosphere.
If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place. The owners are nearby if you need anything, but otherwise leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet uninterrupted.
There's plenty of wildlife to see, without it ever feeling intrusive - sheep, ducks, owls and even a couple of grouse (I think!).
The swing was my favourite – the perfect place to spend a warm summer evening, simply taking in the views and listening to nature.
The location is ideal too, between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, with countless places to explore. Beautiful walks, magnificent historic buildings and picturesque villages, all within easy reach.
One of my highlights was visiting Ludlow Castle. The town of Ludlow itself is full of stunning historic architecture, rich in history and timeless charm, with plenty of lovely places to eat.
The Shepherd's Hut has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
I was pleasantly surprised by how equipped it was which is why I've included a list, save bringing anything.
I probably missed a few things from the list, sorry

Liked Clean site, quiet, friendly, clean showers, toilets, wash up room, free use of freezers, homemade pizza hut on site Friday and Saturday, shop on site, incredible views, surrounded by luscious countryside.
Disliked Showers closed off at 9pm, which seems a bit early, rubbish WiFi

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Clean site, plenty in the shop, on site restaurant, friendly staff, clean showers and toilets. Spacious allotted area. Freezer for your own freeze packs ~ nice touch.
Beautiful views
Disliked Expensive shop (£4 for malteesers my local shop sells for £1.90), expensive restaurant.
Bit of a trek to the laundry/freezer if you're not in the right field.
Dog mess just left, noisy residents after 11pm ~ I know so much personal information about my neighbours that their girlfriends don't know. People forget a tent is a thin piece of material not a wall.
Music after 11pm isn't appreciated by neighbours.
Bit of a drive to anywhere.
