Liked Very spacious site with great view of the lake. Brand new facilities, very modern and the showers are great! Very friendly staff. Great location, easy access to the lake on foot or by bike. Very peaceful. According to the staff, there’ll be a little shop within the reception building soon. The town of Oakham is really worth the visit!

Disliked Being such a big site, more showers and toilets blocks would be great. There’re no dog bins. No wifi (only at the reception). Signals on 4g are low.

Liked Very clean and quiet little Adult Only campsite. The showers/toilets block, which looks pretty new, is very clean. Good 5G and TV reception. The food at the Star Inn pub is very nice with good selection of dishes and drinks and the staff is very friendly. Free wifi. Even if the pub is next to the campsite and quite busy during the weekend, there was no noise disturbing the campers. Location wise, there is a 4.41 miles walk, the Steeple Coastal Circular, from the pub, which is through fields and along the coast. Ideal for keen walkers and dogs.

Liked We arrived late on Friday evening but just on time for some fish & chips from a local van on the campsite. They were very nice and cheap! The lady who welcomed us was friendly. The campsite itself is small and mainly full of seasonal caravans. There is a small lake for fishing enthusiasts. The facilities are clean enough with everything needed. Pitches are quite leveled. The wifi and the TV signals are good. The location is good, only 2 miles away from the coast. The campsite was very quiet but it could be because of being in November. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Disliked The grounds around the facilities look a bit run-down and could do with some tlc. The chemical toilet waste point area could do with a good clean, the smell was unpleasant. A sheltered washing up area would be good especially during the rainy seasons.
