Keswick, Cumbria, England
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Able to have a fire; Good open flat well drained site which catches the sun most of the day; Nestled in a valley with great hill views all round; Excellent clean toilets and showers; Pub nearby; Great walks in every direction; Friendly staff; Felt remote but was only a few miles from Keswick.
Disliked Not really a dislike but no shop onsite for the basics
With older teens wanting their own tent space and having to pay per tent made it a much more expensive option.

Hesket Newmarket, Cumbria, England
FHU gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Large roomy Moho/campervan bays meant you weren't wedge right against your neighbour. Water tap at each bay. Short walk to village of Hesket Newmarket With great pub. Toilets regularly cleaned. Friendly staff. Wide array of home cooked foods on offer on site if you do to cook. Excellent WiFi coverage throughout site
Disliked Only one grass EHU pitch that I could see for a small campervan. Pitching awning was difficulty on the rough stony motorhome pitches

Rockcliffe, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland
Powered grass campervan campsite
Liked Well kept site, immaculate toilets, great views across Urr Estuary, great location for walking, friendly staff
Disliked Couldn't get the WiFi to work at all on the higher campervan/tent area (area 2). Did work further down nearer reception.
