Liked We've stayed at Oak View 3 times now, mainly because we like the locality, the walks, and pubs within reasonable walking distance. This stay was because we were going to the Kent show at the Detling show ground. So right on the sites doorstep We knew it was going to be busy so we booked early. Over the course of the rest of our first day the site filled up. Despite the numbers staying on the site at no time did we have to wait for any of the washroom facilities, which were kept clean and to a good standard.

Disliked Nothing to disappoint us during this visit.

Liked Facilities were excellent, staff pleasant and always helpful. The site was a nice walk from a beautiful dog friendly beach. While Exmouth, which is a bit further but still walkable, has some lovely places to eat.

Liked This location was ideal. The camp was good, absolutely nothing to complain about. A special mention for hot water available untimed in the showers. In fact you had to be careful not to scaled yourself. (Warning signs in place) Lots of lovely country walks. We will be visiting again.

Liked Location was good for walking and nice pubs for eating. The site was kept clean by the staff who were pleasant and welcoming.

Disliked Disappointingly the temperature of hot water varied from one sink to another. In the men's shower cubicles the hot taps only ran cold. In the wash basins outside the cubicles it was luke warm. In the washing up sinks it was a little hotter.

Sometimes they need to run for a while to get the warm water through, especially after lots of people have had showers in the morning but we will look into that. Liked What a beautiful site L'Orangerie is. We stayed there for 9 days and enjoyed every one of them. The grounds were big enough to give our Collie a good walk without going over the same ground twice. The restaurant lived up to our expectations. We thought the town might be a bit of a trek, but in reality took only a half hour walk, while there was a god supermarket only 20 minute walk away. An expat local I happened to talk to told me it was the most expensive site in Brittany. I don't know about that, but I paid more for sites in the UK offering far less. In our view it was worth every penny.
