Loved the location, the owners are so friendly

Wanted something simple, more like old school camping and this fit the bill perfectly.

Just a nice field with grass on a farm and very spacious pitches so you can relax and enjoy the quiet.

The grass was a little long but just coming out of season so can't really blame them.

What an absolute slice of heaven this site was, spectacular views and surrounded by fields and cattle. Completely back to nature, quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries!

You could not ask for more friendly and hospitable hosts than Jo and Richard who came to greet us on arrival and went round each day to check guests were ok and to have a chat with people.

We visited Market Harborough which has a lovely array of shops, including a fantastic farm shop. We also visited Foxton Lockes where we spent a good few hours watching the barges going through, whilst enjoying a pint and a bite to eat in the pub. There are also 2 cafes to choose from.

We stayed for 2 nights in a tent which was plenty for us as there is no electricity on tent pitches and no washing facilities. If you have a caravan or motorhome, you could comfortably spend a few days here. Yes, if you have a tent, you will have to “rough it” and use the porta loo, but the benefits of this location far outweigh that.

There was nothing we disliked, only the fact that this is only a site open for 28 days!!! We would love it to become more permanent and be able to visit 2/3 times within a season!
I would have liked to stay longer but as there are no shower facilities or warm water to wash your hands or cooking utensils, 2 nights was enough…but it has made us consider again getting a touring caravan!

Lovely people, nice clean pitch with beautiful veiws in a nice quiet part of the country, good walks and scenery.

We loved our stay at Wheathill Farm, the location is beautiful and perfect for the sunrise. The field is well maintained with clean water access points. Checking in was simple and the owners were kind and friendly.

There are some great walks in the local area and it's nice to be surrounded by nature.

Very simple site but was just wanted we wanted to have some time as a family without the usual daily interuptions.

Absolutely perfect site with beautiful views.

Will definitely be heading back some time.

A true hidden gem, huge pitches and an amazing view over Market Harborough. Plenty of water points, grey water disposal and chemical waste all at hand. Joanne was very welcoming and the info we received via email when booking is very professional yet friendly . Highly recommended
