Site was really nice, open areas and a good setting in general. Indoor pool was great and food was nice.

We stayed on one of the electric hook-up pitches with our campervan, but unfortunately it was essentially just a marked car parking space, so it wasn't the nicest pitch to stay on.

The main issue, however, was a very concerning incident on our first day. My 7-year-old son and I were playing football on the bowling green. There were clear signs in the park stating "No Ball Games", which is why we chose that area instead.

A dog from one of the static caravans ran over and tried to take our football before the owner came and took it away apologising saying she didn't realise he had got out of their van. Around 20 minutes later, the same Staffordshire Bull Terrier escaped again. This time it jumped up at me while I was holding the ball and attempted to bite it. Instead, it bit my chest and ripped through my shirt.

I reported the incident to the staff in the bar. Unfortunately, my initial experience was disappointing, as I felt they were more concerned about keeping the static caravan owner happy than dealing with what had happened. After several conversations and a phone call to the site manager, they eventually agreed to ask the owner to remove the dog from the site.

My biggest concern throughout has been that it could easily have been my son holding the ball instead of me. Had the dog bitten a child, the outcome could have been far more serious, and I believe the incident would have been treated very differently.

Because I have no way of knowing whether this dog has behaved like this before, or whether there have been previous issues with the owner failing to keep it secure, I reported the incident to the police. I felt it was the responsible thing to do, as I would never forgive myself if a child were seriously injured in the future and I had chosen not to report what happened.

Since the incident, the site has not contacted me to ask how I am, nor have they offered any apology or compensation for my damaged clothing. More importantly, my son is now frightened whenever a dog runs towards him, whether it is on or off a lead, which has had a lasting impact on him.

Nice size pitches good facilities and bonus that there’s a swimming pool etc

Totally different vibe Saturday due to the loud music, shouting and screaming all night. Luckily, they went to bed at 1am

Great facilities, clean toilets, HOT showers, friendly staff, entertainment, peaceful site, lots to do and see. The nature reserve is beautiful with the observation huts open to all. There are also some fantastic walks up and out of the top of the site, really lovely place to visit.

The pitch. - CALL AHEAD AND ASK WHICH PITCH YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED. IF IT IS 7, 8, 9 OR 10 - ASK FOR ANOTHER PITCH. - These pitches are basically in the car park, no hedge or anything to separate you from the parked cars / footfall to the main hub. Horrible terrain, no space for awnings or other accessories. These pitches are to be avoided unless for a one night stopover.

Initially we were placed onto plot 7, but asked to move as it had zero privacy, right next to a road, moved to plot 80, fantastic plot, stone wall all around two sides, excellent privacy.

The bar shut early, 6pm on Sunday and 7pm on Monday, open till 10 on Friday and Saturday, confusing as there were enough people around to keep it going, but hey ho

Great staff good food sensible prices nice facilities

Pitches avaliable very cramped not possible to fill a motorhome water tank without a very long hose, as water points are behind other pitches. Also no grey waste emptying point suitable for a motorhome. It's more for caravans and camper vans.

The staff were really helpful and friendly.

Facilities were clean and well maintained.

Club house was really lovely.

Quite and relaxing.

Electricity box was falling off its post.

The permit neighbours kept us up after 3am in the morning having loud discussions on both nights of our stay.

Shocking noise from barking dogs and guests until after 11 pm at night . Kids playing football in amongst the vans and riding bikes with no thought for other guests

parking for our pod, not amazing (no14). unless I've missed the parking spot. but very narrow . pods 14,15,16 slightly secluded where as others had good spots for sitting out front.

Nature reserve was really good and well worth it, saw a herd of around 40+ fallow deer, squirrels, Marsh Harrier, pair of swans with cignets and pair of geese with goslings.

Pitch was in effect just a car park with 3 electric pitches!
