- Peaceful dog-friendly wild campground near the Clinch river
- A 20-minute drive to Elrod Falls; Pennington Gap Greenway 50 minutes
- Restaurants and a supermarket five minutes’ drive away
The sound of a running waterfall and a night under the stars – sounds like a bit of you? Rest and Ride Ranch is just the place for some wild camping R&R. Set in a quiet area of Tennessee near to the Clinch river, guests are also welcome to explore the campground's trails.
As what the owners call a ‘work in progress’, this is a basic wild campground with no running water or facilities. If you want to properly ‘get away’, this is it. The city of Knoxville, with its 19th-century buildings, is an hour and a half’s drive away. The gorgeous Elrod Falls are a 20-minute drive away.
If you like to bike, the trails of Pennington Gap Greenway are around 50 minutes away from Rest and Ride Ranch and the Devils Fork Loop Trail is an hour and 55 minutes away. There is also a gym, supermarket and a small handful of restaurants in Sneedville, just five minutes’ drive away.
