- Level, pull-through RV sites in a rural setting at Monticello, Florida
- A 45-minute drive to Tallahassee, and an hour to the Wakulla River
- Full hookups; pond and woodland walks on site; store 10 minutes’ drive
The willow-tree-shaded RV sites at Providence Pond are set in a secluded and rural atmosphere just east of the historic town of Monticello, and a 45-minute drive from Florida’s state capital of Tallahassee.
Entrance to the campground is down a long, private track, and once you’re there, you’ll find a pond loaded with ducks and wildlife, and walking trails wending their way under the canopy of mature trees. There’s nearly 50 acres of private wilderness to wander at will, and if you get lucky, you might see deer, turkeys, and squirrels – and you’ll certainly hear lots of singing birds.
With just a few graveled and level sites shaded by willow trees, the campground offers full electric hookups, so you have power, water, and a free wifi connection. Clean-outs are included in the price, and each site has a fire ring.
You can stock up on meats for the grill at farm shops and grocery stores in Monticello (10 minutes’ drive), which also has a raft of Mexican places, pizzerias, and burger bars if you don’t want to spark up the barbecue.
Please try to arrive before dark so the owners can help you to find your site and facilities.
