  • Dog-friendly site near Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park
  • Mountain setting and spectacular scenery, 300 metres from Viu de Linás
  • Play area, communal lounge with vending machines and a terrace
A site with a view (or two)... the pics of Camping Viu are so pretty you could hang them on your office wall. It's a site set in a meadow and surrounded by forest, in the Pyrenees part of Aragon's Huesca province and a few minutes' drive away from the scenic Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. This is a place for nature spotters and mountain fans, for hikers and cyclists, and for those who just like to sit and stare at splendid scenery… do have a look at the site pics. Camping Viu has modern facilities, including a spacious terrace and a communal lounge where guests can properly unwind after the day's activities. Kids should be pleased to know that there's a playground on site too. An amenities block with hot water and a laundry room are also on site. The site is 300 metres from Viu de Linás and less than a five-minute drive away from an outdoor activity centre in Linás de Broto that organises activities like canyoning and via ferrata. Broto, 10 minutes' drive away from the site, has a supermarket, restaurants and access to the walk at Cascada del Sorrosal.

What customers say

Beautiful, peaceful mountain spot with great views, ideal for hiking. Clean facilities, friendly staff noted. Some found pitches uneven/muddy, restaurant hours inconsistent. A few mentioned an unfriendly owner or neglected feel from old caravans.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Fantastic location, very peaceful (my pitch was near the main road but not too busy) very friendly and welcoming staff, facilities very clean and comprehensive - washing machine, microwave, washing up, showers, etc

Disliked I only stayed one night and didn't use the bar, shop, restaurant etc, so not really possible for me to express an opinion

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Power optional grass RV campsite

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Quiet sheltered campsite. Good grassy level pitches with soft ground for peg placement.
Excellent clean toilets and showers. Great washing up facilities. Bar/restaurant on site.
WiFi good near restaurant area.
Beautiful autumn colours on the site

Disliked Toilet paper kept outside the toilet. I don't like to have to predict how many sheets I need before doing the business. Naturally one overestimates (to be safe) leading to a lot of wastage.
An entry/exit barrier from 2300-0730. I needed to depart at 0630 to catch the Ordesa canyon bus in Torla at 0700 which meant I had to park my car outside the campsite overnight. Fortunately it was not busy but parking is limited outside the site

Local attractions

Mountain biking, bungee jumping (if you dare), horse riding, paragliding, canyoning, rafting and canoeing are all available in the area, along with the walking trails, bike rides, waterfalls and spectacular scenery of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. The valleys and towns of Bujaruelo and Otal are 30 and 40 minutes' drive away. Around the site's Sobrarbe region, have a day out at district capital Boltaña to see its mountaintop 11th-century castle and the Aragonese Gothic and 16th-century Collegiate Church of San Pedro, one of the biggest churches in this part of the Pyrenees. Venturing further, another 11th-century castle is at Ainsa (an hour and 15 minutes), along with a 12th-century church, a handsome main square and the House of Culture, home to the biggest library in the Aragonese Pyrenees. For towns and culture, try the Romanesque churches of the villages of the Serrablo (40 minutes), the jolly pretty town of Jaca and its medieval walls (50 minutes) and the monastery of San Juan de la Peña with its church partly carved into the cliff, an hour and 15 minutes away.
