There's a snugly cosy bar part of Camping and Bungalows La Buganvilla on the outskirts of Marbella – worth mentioning here as it could be assumed that travellers Marbella-bound may, just possibly, be interested in bars...? Although it's well placed for splendid Costa del Sol options like the aforesaid Marbella as well as Torremolinos and Málaga (and heaps of beaches), La Buganvilla's bar should be lurked around for some leisurely time too. As well as the main bar and restaurant area, there's a cosy snug/ reading room with comfy sofa and free internet for your slothful use, with a fireplace to bask in front of as you work your way through your chosen tome... wherever in the world you are, in front of a fire with a book is a mighty fine place to be. If all this leaves you too lazy to even idly wander the 15 minutes or so to the beach, idly wander along to the pool complex instead, where a pool and a paddling pool with roomy neighbouring terrace await your splashing or sunbathing self. (The kids can burn off any remaining energy at the site playground if you're at a cliffhanger chapter in your book.) Water games, a kids' club and entertainment nights run day and night in high season for more diverting times, and you'll probably want to potter back towards the bar area in between, to try the local dishes up for grabs at Buganvilla's restaurant.

Loved the peaceful vibe, clean site & friendly staff. Handy for shops & beaches, with a nice pool. Pitches are good, but roads are rough & uneven. Some older washrooms are tired, but new ones are great. Highway noise is a minor issue sometimes.

Disliked Losse gore niet schoo gemaakte kranen te goor om beet te pakken geen plek om in de douche je handdoek op te hangen of je spullen neer te zetten deuren zijn beschimmeld als je in aanraking komt met die deuren tewijl je een wond hebt zit de fungus in je wond en zit he in het ziekenhuis er lopen daar schoonmaksrs voor de kat zn kloten want er was niks van het schoonmaken te zien er lopen beestjes over de fonteinen het zit vol met kalk ook op de toiletpotten te smerig voor woorden je kan de trap haast niet op om bij de douches te komen daar is hulp bij nodig en de trap is deels begroeid met scherpe struiken waar je je aan bezeerd dus nieuwe deuren met haken nieuwe kranen ook in de douche nieuwe toiletpotten en een gangbare trap naar de douches bv een luie trap zonder ge.ene struiken en de bomen zouden ook beter bijgehouden kunnen worden misschien is er dan ook eenplsk daar voor minder beweegbare mensen met wonden ik begrijp dat er geld verdiend moet wprden maar niet over de ruggen van mensen die hard voor hun geld werken want jullie hebben totaal geen luxe status in helemaal niets

Liked A localização é ótima para visitar a Marbella. Um dos lugares onde é reservado para tendas é um bosque com 100% de sombra, muito ventilado, é muito próximo da autoestrada, mas o barulho dos carros não encomodou. O atendimento do Sr na receção foi impecável e muito educado. Tem um supermercado muito próximo, há uns 10 minutos a pé, muito sortido e com bons preços.

Disliked As instalações sanitárias são precárias, muito antigo, tem muitos vazamentos nas torneiras e chuveiros e precisa ser renovado tudo. A limpeza também deixou muito a desejar. A piscina estava suja e precisa renovar os azulejos porque está tudo quebrado. A praia mais próxima fica há 20 minutos a pé, porém o mar é muito agitado e quase impossível tomar banho. As parcelas tem pouca sombra.

Liked Pool was lovely, welcoming and refreshing. Great location for bus and getting around, which was what we wanted from here. Reception helpful, choice of pitches.
Bar closed on Tuesday.

Disliked Services could do with renovation (showers and loo's)
Couldn't access wifi. We think there was a charge but the link wasn't clear.

It's about 15 minutes' saunter to the nearest beach Playa Los Monteros, a wide expanse of sand just east of Marbella. The beach is lifeguarded and has free parking, watersports kit hire, and rental services for parasols, hammocks and sunbeds. From Los Monteros, it's 10 minutes ' drive to downtown Marbella.
