This site is so well set up for family seaside hols in Slovenia that it even has outdoor showers for pets (as most dog owners can testify, that sand does get under that fur...). Your beachy base is well placed for sandy and other activities too, with watersports available from the site, basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis and miniature golf close by, and a sandy playground with sandpit, swings and a slide on hand to occupy the kids. Around the region, there are spas to submerge in around local town Portorož (one of the biggest seaside resorts in Slovenia), and Adriatic Sea beaches and Gulf of Trieste sightseeing all around. Salt pan and wine cellar tours can be added to the itinerary too, or you could take boat trips around the coast or have urban days in Ljubljana, Bled, Venice, Trieste... Or you could simply stay put and do very little indeed apart from beach basking and occasional sandcastle building: Camping Lucija is right by the sea on the Seča peninsula, covering six hectares of serene space for seaside days. If you're opting for this, opt also for some time in the site bar to work your enthusiastic way through the menu from a shaded terrace by the water, before procuring fresh bread, pastries, fruit, veg and other foodie bits in the site shop to have on a seaside picnic. Barbecues are allowed, but if your 'doing very little indeed' on holiday means no cooking at all, restaurants of all sorts as well as small countryside inns are three to seven kilometres away in and around Portorož and Piran.

Liked Wir waren für 4 Tage auf diesen Campingplatz und hatten Meerblick gebucht. Da wir mit Freunden und 2 Campern unterwegs waren, baten wir um zusammstehende Stellplätze, wo man uns sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und auf Deutsch gut was angeboten hat. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Campingplatz hat ein gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis und ist eine gute Ausgangslage für Besichtigungen nach Piran, Isolà, was wir auf super ausgeschilderten Radwegen gefahren sind.
Auch die Salinefelder in der Nähe sind sehr sehenswert.
Toiletten und Sanitäranlagen sauber und viel vorhanden.

Liked Personal sehr freundlich ,Platz direkt am Wasser… nur schönem Wetter zum Baden

Disliked Sehr eng alles , viele kleine Parzellen … Waschräume könnten sauberer sein . Den kleinen Supermarkt kann man vergessen , zu teuer wenig Angebot

Liked This place is a perfect start for many bike tours. At the reception the man was very friendly in helping us to find wonderful tours!

Disliked Seaview was from the fourth row between the other’s in front of us. The pitch was very small.

Liked Sehr schöne Gegend. Zentral gelegen für Einkäufe. Strand sauber. In kakamaka Bar sehr gutes Essen und freundliche Bedienung. Der Sonnenuntergang ist sensationell wenn das Wetter passt

Disliked Sanitäranlagen sauber aber müssten mal erneuert werden. Beleuchtung an den Treppen da hin könnten besser sein. Der rundum Lärm am Wochenende bis weit in den Morgen ist nervig.

Liked Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit auf dem Campingplatz. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und es wurde uns alles erklärt.
Wir standen in der zweiten Reihe und konnten auf das Meer schauen, das war richtig schön.
Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Disliked Das einzig Negative war die laute Musik von gegenüber. Wir haben uns damit arrangiert , aber es ist schon sehr laut und wir haben es dann genossen, dass am Montag und Dienstag nichts zu hören war.

Liked Bar und Restaurant auf dem Campingplatz sind sehr gut.

Disliked Meerblick heißt dritte Reihe hinter dem Spielplatz und den Werbetafeln am "Strand". Also auch wenn wir mal zwischen den anderen beiden Reihen durchschauen konnten, sah man wenig Meer. Absolut enttäuschend. Sanitäranlagen waren in die Jahre gekommen und selten gereinigt.

Local attractions

Start your Slovenian seaside sightseeing off in Portorož, three kilometres away: this swish resort is one of the best known in Slovenia and one of the major tourist centres in the country. The wide sandy beach should be a first stop; after that, there are thermal baths to check out, a casino to feel lucky in, and a marina to while away lazy hours at. Portorož – rather fably – is also home to a Rolling Stones museum, displaying the rocky memorabilia of Slavko Franca, such a mega fan that one of his cats is named Paint it Black… Ask at the Camping Lucija reception for details of many splendid excursions available around the region, such as the salt pans around Lucija and Sečovlje, the wine tasting of Koper (20 minutes), the cave at Postojna (55 minutes) and Piran and other Slovenian coastal towns starting from 20 minutes away. For day tripping, Trieste is 35 minutes' drive away, Ljubljana an hour and a half, Bled an hour and 55 minutes, and Venice two hours and 15 minutes.
