Burrow down at this quiet, family-friendly escape in the hilly landscape of Limburg, sandwiched between Maastricht and Valkenburg. Well-equipped for the family? EuroParcs Poort van Maastricht sure is – there’s an indoor swimming pool that can be transformed into an open-air pool when the weather’s just right, and a football field for a quick friendly match. Here, it’s not just about the Limburg hills – although you’ll be wanting to get out on foot and bicycle to take in the hills, streams and countless caves in the Limburg countryside, for sure. The location also means plenty of scope to explore Burgundian cities and their cosy terraces, art and chic restaurants with classic Burgundy flavours. Maastricht, just 15 minutes’ drive from the site, fits the bill. There’s plenty of history here too – caves, underground tunnels and old city walls – and it’s a top spot for shopping or sniffing out cultural sites. While there are plenty of cosy terraces in Maastricht, you might want to pick a shady spot in EuroParcs Poort van Maastricht to unwind. Pleasant and well-equipped, the site has a huge range of facilities to list, including a snack bar, shop, hot showers, wifi, laundry facilities, bicycle rental and playground equipment.

  • The outdoor swimming pool is open between 01/04 and 31/10 (subject to weather conditions).
  • Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
  • Bookings must not be for more than 21 consecutive nights.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
  • No gas barbecues allowed.
  • No charcoal barbecues allowed.

Liked Świete miejsce na wypady do pobliskich miast takich jak Maastricht czy Valkenburg, jest basen z zamykanym dachem i boiska do siatkówki czy piłki nożnej. Obsługa na recepcji bardzo pomocna i życzliwa, klimat w ośrodku bardzo przyjacielski, parcele z żywopłotami i drzewami, więc można ustawić namiot w cieniu, toalety i prysznice w wystarczającej ilości.

Disliked Sklepik mógłby być lepiej wyposażony, ale na śniadanie zawsze coś się znajdzie, czasem wifi znikało na chwilkę, ale nie był to duży problem

Liked Super sauberer, ordentlicher und schön angelegter Campingplatz mit vielen Annehmlichkeiten und sogar einem Schwimmbad!
Die sehr schöne Stadt Maastricht sowie viele kleinere hübsche Orte sind mit dem Fahrrad gut zu erreichen.
Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter!

Liked What an amazing site. We were nearly late to check-in but got a call to let us know what to do if we arrived after 5 which was really helpful.
Site amenities fantastic. Restaurant served gorgeous food with fabulous staff.
Pitches good size with everything you need.

Local attractions

With so many caves in Maastricht and the countryside, bump Gemeentegrot (five minutes' drive) to the top of your to-do list. Just a 20-minute bike ride or a five-minute drive away, these limestone caves were mined by the Romans and there’s an underground train that will take you into their former territory. What other caves might you want to descend upon? Over the Meuse river, Fort Sint Pieter Maastricht Underground (15 minutes) is a system of caves, tunnels and an 18th-century hillfort. During the war, many took refuge in the Casemates tunnels at the Kazematten Waldeck Maastricht Underground (15 minutes) too. When you’re not exploring this underground world, marvel at the works of art in one of Limburg's leading art museums, the Bonnefanten museum (10 minutes), or catch a show at the Theater aan het Vrijthof (15 minutes). There’s a splendid view of a marl quarry and the surrounding hills after a climb to Uitzichtpunt Sint Pietersberg (15 minutes) – just the thing for those who can’t pass up a good hike.
