Mountain stays for all sorts await at Camping Valchiusella, near Turin: it's 600 metres above sea level and is surrounded by top spots for outdoor adventures. Among clean mountain air and a kilometre and a half from the Piedmont village of Alice Superiore, Camping Valchiusella was developed by owners Angela and Angelo as a space for open-air living in a green environment, and with a friendly family vibe. It's close to urban adventuring too if that's more your thing, with Ivrea 25 minutes' drive away and Turin just over an hour. There's plenty around on site, including outdoor pools, a roller skating rink, a big space for kids' games, a bowling alley, ping pong and table football. A bar is also to hand, and barbecues and campfires are both allowed.

Liked Vriendelijk ontvangst en de plek was prima.
Camping biedt veel potentie wat meer liefde tijd en geld erin stoppen zou wonderen doen.
De papegaai was ook blij😉

Disliked Douches van de 4 stuks werkte er maar 1 ondanks de instructies met de coin die je moest aanschaffen voor 1 euro per beurt.

Liked Le proprietarie erano gentili, ma questo non basta.

Disliked Si sono circondati dalla feccia del Piemonte. Gli stanziali sono maleducati, volgari, rumorosi ( musica alta fino alle 4 del mattino), ubriaconi che facevano a gara di rutti, non sanno cosa sia la privacy altrui, infilavano la testa nelle nostre finestre per guardare dentro e in più sono risultati molto aggressivi. Mio marito è stato aggredito fisicamente da due energumeni che si erano parcheggiati in mezzo all'uscita. Io stavo male, avevo una lesione muscolare grave, abbiamo chiesto di liberare lo spazio per poter passare in modo da raggiungere un pronto soccorso e invece di spostarsi, come richiesto, lo hanno aggredito in 2 alle spalle, come vigliacchi e con l'intervento di mezzo campeggio a sostenere gli aggressori. Sembrava di essere in un quartiere malfamato, mio marito ha riportato una lesione ad un occhio e cosa peggiore l'intervento del gestore che teneva ragione ai matti e che non agevolava lo sgombero nemmeno per ragioni di emergenza, senza minimamente interessarsi della mia salute.

From the manager: Davvero spiacente Daniela per la sua esperienza. Ci sarebbe piaciuto parlarne a voce dei disagi riscontrati in piazzola, ma tant'è, non tutti hanno il piacere di affrontare il problema di persona ed alcuni preferiscono scrivere recensioni negative al pc: tutto lecito.
Posso però assicurarle che abbiamo fatto il possibile per evitare il peggio quando stavate rientrando in campeggio per recuperare la vs caravan e avete trovato coda in uscita dal campeggio...
Sottolineo "non teniamo MAI le parti dei matti", anzi: reagiamo con calma fermezza per non alzare ulteriormente i toni. Spiace anche perchè questo non è stato colto da parte vostra, cercheremo di migliorarci anche su questa fermezza e determinazione che pensavamo ci avesse già portato a buon punto... ma c'è sempre da imparare, giustamnte!
Concludo nel sostenere e ringraziare tutti i nostri ospiti: dal più al meno caciarone, era pur sempre un sabato sera... ma mai FECCIA. Tra questi c'eravate anche voi, e la ns intenzione era di farvi passare un bel weekend in compagnia... musica alta fino alle 4 del mattino proveniente da sagre vicine, certamente non dal ns bar.
Augurandovi il meglio e sperando in un'altra occasione.. vi auguriamo una buona estate.

Disliked Les douches étaient payante de 1€, le camping est familiales mais font du bruits jusqu'à minuit et plus. Il y avait beaucoup de moustiques, le temps qu’on monte la tente on été déjà ravagé de piqûre.

Liked We really loved this campsite! You get so much space and freedom here—you aren't packed together like sardines with neighbors staring right at your dinner table. The atmosphere was super relaxed. The sanitary facilities were clean and perfectly fine for us; we had absolutely no issues with them. Of course, if you have extremely high luxury standards, you might want to look for a different site. But for families with kids and people who love that true, free camping feeling, this place is highly recommended!

Local attractions

It's only a couple of minutes' drive into the countryside and the nature reserve surrounding Alice Superiore for mountain biking, paragliding, fishing, mountain excursions and hikes, and a couple of minutes too to lakeshore walks to spot endangered animals and plants. Swimming in the pools of Garavot (a gorge of the Chiusella river) is five minutes' drive away. If you're up for something a tad more adventurous, there's rock climbing for all ages at Traversella (15 minutes' drive), or wakeboarding, waterskiing and windsurfing at Lago di Viverone about 40 minutes to the east. Skiing (and wildlife watching, if your sense of adventure is a little tired) is at the Gran Paradiso National Park, 55 minutes away. To the north, the Mt Avic Wildlife Park (45 minutes) is the spot for spying Alps critters of the Aosta valley, like marmots, roe deer and ibex.
