What a lovely Lombardy setting – Agricampeggio La Passeggiata is surrounded by greenery of the Mincio Park just outside the town of Goito. That means this small family-run is both a peaceful place to stay and a convenient one, as you'll be able to get to the centre of town with a five-minute drive or cycle to reach shops, restaurants and other amenities. And that's not all on the convenience front, as there are plenty of amenities on site to make life easy as well – things like toilets, hot showers, accessible bathrooms, wifi, a launderette and a dog park where your furry pal can have a good run about. A games room and pétanque court provide amusement for human guests, and there's a barbecue area and picnic tables for your alfresco meals. Spacious pitches all have electric and water hookups, and the whole site is kept safe by a secure entrance. Being in such a lovely green area means that things like riverside walks and fishing days are very close by – but there are lots of great attractions to visit in the area too, from several historical villas to a large outdoor pool complex a few minutes' drive away. Mantua, Brescia and Verona are on hand for your fix of city life, and it’s only about a half-hour drive to the gorgeous landscapes of Lake Garda.

Liked Un camping muy sencillo, tipo solar parcelado, pero tiene de todo: planchas eléctricas de cocina, picas de limpieza, microondas, máquinas expendedoras de bebidas y café. Las duchas y aseos reformados y limpios.

Disliked Nada en particular. Algo de ruido por la noche de un compresor pero no era molesto.

Liked A good spot to base.
Facilities spotlessly clean.
A fairly new place and would have no problem in reccomending.
Very friendly people.
Had a nice walk into town by the river.
Hopefully they will get the support they deserve and develope the site to what it can be.

Liked Très bon accueil. Nous étions sur un emplacement à l'ombre, ce qui est agréable. Douches et toilettes neuves et propres. Il y a des tables pour s'installer ou des transats pour se reposer.

Local attractions

There’s lots of splendid countryside to explore in this area, so come along prepared to walk or cycle along local paths – or bring your fishing equipment for a day trying to hook carp from the water at Lago Caselle (three minutes' drive). A stroll through the gardens at 19th-century Parco delle Bertone (10 minutes) is also a lovely option, with an attractive lake and a white stork reintroduction centre to visit. For a nose around some more fabulous residences, plan trips to places like Villa Moschini and Villa Giraffa (both five minutes) – the latter is noted for its unusual statue of a giraffe. Castle of Cerlongo (five minutes) is another place worth checking out, and there are lots of interesting buildings in Mantua (25 minutes), including the Ducale Palace and Castello di San Giorgio. The shores of Lake Garda have several fantastic historic attractions to visit as well – Sirmione (35 minutes), with a long spit stretching out into the lake, is a fabulous place to find some of these. While you're up at the lake, you may like to take the kids to visit Movieland Studios and Gardaland Resort (both 40 minutes) or have a dip from one of the lake beaches.
