Bag a berth at Camping Tiglio for a Brescia break by the waters of Lake Garda – this family-run site is in a sweet spot on the lake’s south-east shore, with two and a half hectares of scenic green space and views out over the water. Pitch up here to be partway between pretty Peschiera del Garda five minutes’ drive away and the swish resort town of Sirmione, 20 minutes away on a little peninsula jutting out into the lake. Beach areas, wineries and lakeside restaurants are all nearby for those seeking serene days out; trips to Gardaland, Movieland and Canevaworld waterpark are around 15 minutes away for families with an eye on more energetic pursuits. Those who’ve brought the bambini along on their break will no doubt be chuffed to see that there’s a playground where they can let off a little steam, and a paddling pool alongside the main outdoor pool for cooling off afterwards. There’s a bar to keep all supplied with cool drinks; you won’t go hungry either if you’ve settled in for the full day, as the restaurant serves up breakfasts, lunches and dinners to have on the terrace, or pizza to take away. The terrace is also the setting for music evenings every Wednesday and Saturday from mid June to the end of August. Self-catering sorts are welcome to fire up a barbecue here; all the necessaries are on the shelves of the site’s well-stocked mini market, which also takes a welcome daily delivery of freshly baked bread.

Awful showers from the 90’s
They cram you in like sardines and say you can park on the pitch but the pitches are small.
We had terrible neighbours that kept telling our children to go away, constantly watching us, wouldn’t allow us to cook and wouldn’t allow us to park next to our pitch.
Reception staff are brilliant checking you in but one day after check in we requested a refund their attitude changed, would have been easier to get blood out of a stone. Other brits also requested refunds due to similar reasons.
Absolutely avoid pitches 137 and 136 if you have to stay here as the neighbour is a resident and think they own the park.
This park is more like a local park for Italians and they don’t like outsiders.

Liked Ogólnie ,jest ok. Ale brakuje zdecydowanie plaży przy jeziorze.. nie ma miejsca na relax przy jeziorze. Ogólnie są 2 mola ale to tylko żeby sobie posiedzieć jak akurat znajdziesz miejsce. Jest fajny basen to plus. ( tylko niestety wymagane czepki) można je kupić na miejscu w sklepie. Obsługa ogólnie ok. Bardzo miła jest pani ze sklepu i kilku kelnerów ale ratownik na basenie tragedia,bardzo nie uprzejmy.To bardzo tłoczny kamping nie wiem czy zawsze. I Niestety nie czujesz się tam mile widziany przez Włochów którzy mają tam kampingi na stałe, da się to odczuć. Byliśmy raz nie było tragedii ale już nie wrócimy.a internet tragedia, i wspomnieć , że świetny pomysł z otwarciem w nocy z muzyką dla dzieci basenu👌

Liked Camping très propre et bien entretenu. Personnel très sympathique et professionnel. Nous n’étions pas loins des sanitaires avec un enfant vraiment super.

Disliked Nous avons eux un emplacement très petit au bout d’une aller en plein soleil. Nous avons en étions très dessus. Dommage que les meilleur emplacement soit bloquer par les résidant longue durée.

Liked Relaxed atmosphere compared to other larger sites in the area. Good sized pitches taking our 8x5 ft tent and parking on pitch which was not advertised. Really good availability of sunbeds at the pool and cleanliness of the pool, thanks to mandatory swimming caps. Pizzeria restaurant onsite for eat in and takeaways was very good. Optimal location for sightseeing the local area, away from the busy towns of Sirmione and Pescheira, both of which can be walked / cycled to if you have older children. Bikes can be hired on site for €15 and there are many cycle routes accessible in the area. Outstanding views of the lake from the front and second row pitches. Free WiFi available.

Disliked Shower blocks are tired and need updating but they are cleaned regularly and there was always hot water. Restocking of toilet paper and soap is required more frequently during the busy season! There is no ‘beach’ at the campsite however you can access the lake from the jetty and there is a park next door providing easier access. There are some permanent residents on site, some of which are not well maintained, further away from the lake front which are not attractive to look at!

If staring at the stunning lake waters hasn’t quite sent you into the desired state of relaxation just yet, help things along a little with a spa soak at Terme di Sirmione (five minutes’ drive) or Terme Di Colà (15 minutes). Prefer something a little cooler? Head to the little beach area at Punta Grò to paddle in the lake waters. Sirmione (20 minutes) is a stunning little town, and one of the lake’s must-sees. Once you’ve walked to the end of the peninsula to see the ruined Roman villa and 13th-century Rocca Scaligera castle, potter through the pedestrianised streets (gelato in hand, of course) or follow the panoramic trail for long-ranging lake views. Guests with a romantic streak may like to follow in the footsteps of Romeo and Juliet with a day trip to Verona (35 minutes’ drive); those with kids to keep entertained will possibly want to steer instead to the Movieland and Gardaland theme parks (15 minutes), Canevaworld waterpark (15 minutes) or Parco Natura Viva safari park (20 minutes).
