Need somewhere to stop off on a long journey along the E80? Or perhaps you’re looking to stick around a little longer so you can explore the lovely Liguria coastline? Either way, the peaceful Camper Village, surrounded by greenery on the edge of Santo Stefano al Mare, makes a great place to park up for a night or few. Come along here and you’ll be staying in the cool shade of centuries-old olive trees, with a swimming pool that’s open in the summer months for guests to have a refreshing dip after a day out (or just whenever you fancy it). There are also padel tennis courts on site where you can challenge fellow guests to a game. Those aren’t the only options for an active day, however – it’s about two kilometres from the site to the seafront for watersports, boat hire and access to the coastal bike path (which runs for 27 kilometres from Imperia to Ospedaletti). And don’t worry if you're just after a relaxing day – there’s a beach down here too for swims and sunbathing. Getting down to the town’s attractions, shops and restaurants will take you about half an hour on foot (10 minutes by bike or five minutes in the car), but during the summer by far the easiest way is to hop on the shuttle bus that runs from the site throughout the day, thus saving you a long walk or the need to find a parking space. There are several places to eat out in town, but you can also pick up ingredients from the supermarket and use the site’s barbecue and picnic area.

  • Reception is unmanned after 6:30 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.
  • A cable measuring at least 11 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • From 01 June to 15 September, access to the pool is included for touring pitches. For tent pitches, access to the swimming pool is not included and costs €3 per day. A charge of €1 per 5 minutes applies for the use of the shower.

Liked piazzola piccola, ma comoda. La piscina e il bar sono un plus non indifferente. Come anche la navetta. ottimo sistema per la raccolta differenziata.

Disliked le docce non sono tutte agibili la due delle donne non getta acqua, il soffione è inutile.

Liked Able to choose pitch. Quite spacious. Nice pool area although there was a grime mark all the way around the pool which is surprising for early in the season. Nice bar area, limited food, although we didn’t eat there. Quite remote, but there is a shuttle bus down to the beach which we didn’t use.

Disliked Showers/loos dated - no paper. Unable to clean the shower afterwards. They allow the public in after 3pm as paying guests. Becomes noisy with loud music.

Disliked Not very friendly wellcome
Could not use the pool as there was a 7 year old birthday party happening using all the pool and bar area
EUR 33 per night and having to pay extra for hot water in the shower
Location - in order to get to beach or town or the cycling / walking path you have to walk along a carriage way with lots of traffic and no real pedestrian path

personale è molto disponibile, puntuale ed efficiente… il servizio navetta è davvero top, soprattutto perché ci recuperava al mare anche con le biciclette e ci riportava al campeggio. Anche la piscina è molto
carina e curata, così come l’ambiente e’ molto verde e fresco.

Disliked Unica pecca: i bagni sono sprovvisti del bidet, ma ci sono le docce di fronte al bagno e con un solo gettone di un euro si riesce a fare una lunghissima doccia rigenerante.

Local attractions

Start with a wander through the medieval streets of Santo Stefano al Mare, visiting the Museo Relitto Romano before heading down to the harbour to see the traditional fishing boats and find local restaurants. Boat rentals and windsurf kit hire are among the amenities to help you get out on the water if you want to. A bike ride (or a walk) along the Pista Ciclabile della Riviera dei Fiori is a good way to see some of the coastline up close, or you could head straight to either Sanremo, to wander through the historic La Pigna district, or Imperia, to visit the eccentric Villa Grock and find whale-watching tours. Both are about 20 minutes’ drive away. Elsewhere nearby, you could stop by at Bussana Vecchia (20 minutes' drive) to see a former ghost town brought back to life as an artists’ village, or visit Dolceacqua’s Castello dei Doria and other intriguing architecture (50 minutes).
