When the owners of Diós Camping opened this site in 1992, they weren’t just aiming to set up a campsite – they were hoping to create one of those places where people of all ages and all backgrounds could come together to share experiences, form friendships and realise that we have more similarities than we do differences. Fast-forward more than 30 years and that spirit is still in place – all kinds of guests (and their dogs) are welcome at this spacious and friendly site in Balatonföldvár. Book a stay here and you may find yourselves having a good chat with your fellow guests over a drink at the campfire area or getting a lengthy card games tournament going on the terrace. There are also music events from time to time, so you might even get a singalong going. Facilities here have been nicely thought out to provide all the essentials while not crimping the peaceful atmosphere of the place. You’ll have access to a barbecue area, a bathroom block with toilets and showers, and a shared kitchen with fridges, freezers, a gas hob and a microwave. As the site is just on the edge of town, it's an easy stroll to shops where you can pick up food supplies. There are also several places to eat within easy reach if you fancy letting someone else do the work. The other thing to note about this location is, of course, the fact that the shores of Lake Balaton are just a short walk away. That means beach days, watersports, walks and lakeside bike rides are all on the menu – with bikes available to hire on site if you’ve not got your own.

Disliked Arrivati al camping ci dicono che non trovano la prenotazione e anche se faccio vedere la mail,loro dicono di non trovarla. Il prezzo che dovevo pagare non è stato quello visto su pitchup. Loro dicono che le informazioni su pitchup non sono veritiere e abbiamo pagato 11700 huf confronto a 8000 huf che dovevo pagare. I bagni sporchi, vecchi, la cucina uguale, un schifo totale. Non tornerei mai più.

Disliked Nie mogę ocenić campingu ponieważ był zamknięty kiedy po 6h trasy, zmęczeni przyjechaliśmy na miejsce. Na portalu była informacja że od 12 czerwca otwarcie, bez najmniejszego problemu udało nam się złożyć rezerwację, po przyjeździe odbiliśmy się od barierek. Niestety bylismy zmuszeni poszukać i zarezerwować inny, dużo droższy camping.. Kontakt z właścicielem zerowy, SMS zwrotny w niedzielę podczas gdy rezerwacja była na piątek. Jeżeli otwarcie się przesuwa lub następuje w inny dzień to fajnie byłoby o tym wspomnieć..

Liked A táj. A szép zöld környezet. Kilátóból gyönyörű a kilátás. Ha a jövőben a félreértés rendeződik és arra visz a lábam szívesen foglalnék újra sikeresen szállást.

Disliked Foglalásom megtörtént. Helyszínre érkezve senki nem volt látható a recpción. Kapu zárva. Hívásaim nem fogadták, majd vissza jelzést nem kaptam. Így nem tudtam igénybe venni a szállást.

Balatonföldvár is a great base for a Balaton holiday – for starters, you’ll have a choice of two main beach areas here, plus a dedicated dog beach for paddling pups. There are boat trips, watersports and bike paths for active guests, and a busy programme of cultural events at the church and Kultkikötő open-air theatre. Heading just a little way out of town, you might like to take a fragrant stroll at Lavender Kőröshegyi or meet exotic animals at Balatoni Madárkert (both 10 minutes’ drive), or perhaps come face to face with big extinct species at Kereki Dínó Park (15 minutes). Getting out to see more parts of the lake should be on the schedule too – perhaps taking a ferry trip to pretty Tihany (50 minutes by car and boat), visiting the grand Festetics Palace (45 minutes’ drive) or checking out the wineries around Badacsony (an hour and 15 minutes).
