Great spot by the lake for water sports & walks. Friendly staff, modern, clean facilities (new showers!). Some pitches are small/lack shade. Booking glitches & noise reported at peak times.

Liked Prachtig sanitair gebouw en mooie royale staanplaats

Disliked Beetje jammer dat het restaurant/ pizzahut alleen het weekend open is, zag wel dat er gewerkt wordt aan een mooi nieuw receptie gebouw waar dan misschien ook wel iets van horeca in komt

Liked De bosrijke omgeving met het zeer mooi meer en bijhorende wandel/fietspaden. Mooie en verzorgde sanitaire gebouwen.
Goede en vriendelijke service bij het in en uitchecken.

Disliked Minder gras op onze mobilhome standplaats, anders geennoerkingen

Disliked A little confusing about breakfast pastries. Some days it was first come, first served and other days it was preorder.

very good facilities including induction hobs at the ablution block for cooking
close to lake

Disliked We had a VERY small stand without any shade. Luckily we had a small van and were only there for one night. There seemed to be bigger stands available so perhaps we were on the small stand because it was opne night

Not bad access

Disliked Very busy at the weekend
Weirdly the hard standing pitches are much smaller than the grass ones. Hard standing isn’t great, dust, mud and stone..ok for a campervan or small motorhome but not big enough for a larger motorhome.
Expensive at £46 for one night?!

Liked Schöner Campingplatz mit kleinen Markt , kurzer weg zum See , gibt viel zuerkunden in der Region...Brötchen Service aber ohne Vorbestellung...

Disliked etwas laut , auf Mittagsruhe und Nachtruhe wird nicht so geachtet, lag aber mehr an den Eltern...Autos fahren stellenweise zuschnell über den Platz...etwas teuer und Womo Parzellen zuklein für den Preis , Kein WLAN...hat uns aber nicht gestört

Disliked Schlechte Organisation, Plätze doppelt verbucht, Wohnmobilplätze zu eng und zu dicht aufeinander. Für 40€ pro Nacht eine Frechheit!. Untergrund immer feucht, Regenwasser fließt nicht richtig ab.

Make sure you’ve brought your boots or your bikes along – there are plenty of great trails to follow around here, whether you’re just after a short outing into the forest, a tour of the lake or a more extensive hike along the Saar-Hunsrück Climb. A popular highlight around here is the Saarschleife Treetop Walk (25 minutes’ drive), which follows a trail of a little over a kilometre to a 23-metre-high observation tower that has some stunning views over the trees and the river below. Other favourite outings nearby take guests to places like Montclair Castle (20 minutes), to Wolf Park Werner Freund (20 minutes) or to some more outstanding views at Saarpolygon (40 minutes). The Völklingen Ironworks (40 minutes) is well worth a visit too – this fascinating place has won a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list as the world's only fully preserved ironworks. Still got days to fill? How about a trip over the border to Luxembourg (an hour), or to France for a day in Metz (an hour and 10 minutes) and Nancy (an hour and 45 minutes)?
