Take your pick from peaceful or active at See Camping Günztal, set on a secluded lake in Bavarian-Swabia in an area filled with theme parks, castles, museums and caves – and with a right good stash of activities on site for all sizes too. Among the active options here are swimming areas suited to families with tiddlers, a volleyball court, pétanque, table tennis and bike and pedal go kart hire to speed things up a tad. Golf, surfing and an indoor pool are all available locally. Prefer a more placid vibe? See Camping Günztal has a bistro and beer garden serving dinners, breakfasts and substantial snacks, board games and books to borrow, and a kiosk selling boozy and non-boozy drinks as well as food for peaceful evenings pitchside. (Order fresh bread for the next morning at the kiosk too.) Alongside its spacious pitches, the site has modern facilities including standard and large showers, floor heating, solar heating, gas condensing boilers, water saving and pressure fittings, a bath for kids and a roomy shower room for disabled guests. Other amenities include a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and basin for hand washing and dishwashing, an outdoor sink and shower and a dog wash area. A motorhome dump station and a sink for chemical toilets are available free of charge.

Liked Beautiful views, our pitch was right on the lakes. Opportunity to swim in the lake - so long as you're careful of the speedboats etc. There is ladders into it. Play area for kids.

Disliked Very hard ground, need rock pegs as normal ones dont work. Even though weather is extremely dry, other nearby sites were not as bad. It was a family campsite so obviously quite noisy at times. When we booked in, we asked how we could get in and out and were told it was by anpr and we could come and go as we pleased. We needed to leave early as we had a very long drive that day, but after packing up quietly and driving to the barrier to leave, we could not. We attempted to phone them several times on the number supplied and had no answer. Other Italian customers pulled up behind us also unaware that they could not leave until 8am at the earliest, they were quite irate. A staff member happened to come in early to work and said we were lucky he was there otherwise we would not have been able to get out. He did let us out, 45 minutes after we were due to leave, but he was quite Abrupt and not friendly. We were not told about being locked in or time constraints either at booking or checking in. If there was an emergency you would have to smash the barrier to get out. Being as one of our party ahs anaphylaxis problems this could have been a life-threatening situation.

Liked Sehr freundliches und nettes Personal.
Guter Campingplatz mit sehr gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Insgesamt saubere gute Sanitäranlagen.
Kurze Wege überall hin.

Disliked Dieses Jahr leider viele Schlingflanzen im See was das Baden etwas unangenehm gemacht hat.
In meinem Zeitraum leider sehr durchwachsenes und verregnetes Wetter.
Die Sensoreinstellung für das Handwaschbecken im Männer WC ist katastrophal. So kann Mann sich nicht vernünftig die Hände waschen.
Es sollte über Schließmechanismus für die Türen im Sanitärbereich nachgedacht werden, da viele Camper leider nicht in der Lage sind Türklinken zu benutzen und somit beim verlassen die Türen immer offenstehen (Toilette, Waschraum).

Liked Beste Lage, viel Möglichkeiten zum Laufen und Fahrradfahren in der näheren Umgebung. Der Platz ist überschaubar und sehr schön am See gelegen.

We komen op de terugweg uit Italië nog terug hier en blijven dan wat langer.
(In het nabij gelegen dorpje zat ook een heel goed Grieks restaurant)
