Got some nippers that need spoiling (or whose behaviour might just benefit from a little gentle bribery)? The prospect of a break at Camping La Taillée might just do the trick.
Swing by in the summer hols and you’ll see that this site is pretty much kid heaven – pony rides, sports tournaments and other fun activities filling the hours when they’re not engrossed in games of miniature golf, pétanque or table tennis, hanging out at the playground or bouncing on the trampoline.
Need to cool off after all these antics? Trot round the corner to the local pool, where you’ll have free access to the heated main pool, the kids’ pool and a fun water play area. Or retreat to the site’s snack bar for cool drinks (of both the kid-friendly and parent-pleasing varieties) and a selection of ice creams, waffles and other treats.
Not that it’s all about keeping the tiddlers happy though: grownups are catered for too, with open-air gym classes, themed dinners and a weekly farmers’ market on site. Throw in a heap of handy facilities (bread service, communal barbecues and advance ticket sales for nearby attractions) and you should certainly be left with a stress-free stay for all...
Heading out? The restaurants and shops of Aigrefeuille-d’Aunis are a 10-minute amble away and the coastal attractions of Châtelaillon-Plage and La Rochelle are within half an hour's drive.

Local attractions
It’s not just La Taillée’s setup that pleases guests; its nifty location, a short hop from all sorts of attractions, is equally enticing.
Follow the scent of sea air to the coast for time on the sands of Châtelaillon-Plage (20 minutes’ drive away), boat trips to Fort Boyard from Rochefort (20 minutes) or peaceful pedalling on the bike paths of Île de Ré (40 minutes).
While you’re heading coastwards, consider also making a trip to La Rochelle (half an hour by car) for a wander around the old harbour, a spot of local history at the maritime museum and a visit to see the sea beasties at the excellent aquarium.
Staying inland for a bit, there are fab views of the area’s scenery to be had on walks, bike paths or boat trips in the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park (half an hour away) or by dangling from the treetops at Vertigo Parc adventure park (20 minutes).
