There's a Zen Cottage at Camping Les Puits Tournants in the Somme. (Perhaps all campsites should have a Zen cottage.) This blissful state of affairs sorts out sauna and Jacuzzi for guests for a small extra charge, along with beauty treatments and massages, all in a quiet retreat right on the shores of a small Picardie lake.
Pack your fishing rods, for casting off is very much allowed here, and load the bikes on the car or caravan as this is proper biking land to: over 120 kilometres of path snake around these surrounds including a véloroute 100 metres away. Pack the walking boots as well, as several paths are accessible straight from the site.
Florian and his team have added a good range of facilities for friends and family to feel peaceful in the Picardian countryside: as well as the Zen Cottage and treatments, there's a pool open throughout the season, a food shop, wifi and a well-equipped playground with trampoline and bouncy castle.

Camping Les Puits Tournants is within easy reach of the Somme battlefields of World War One, now a land filled with memorials and museums telling the tale of the war and those who died here. The Museum of the Great War is at the small town of Péronne nearby.
If you're in the market for hiking, biking and ambling, over 120 kilometres of reserved trails suitable for all three are along the Somme canal, through Péronne and Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. Several walking paths are directly accessible from the site.
Shops, restaurants and supermarkets are at Corbie and at Albert five and 15km away respectively. A day trip well worth the journey is to Amiens 25 kilometres away, a city with loads to see including its Gothic cathedral, the canal of the Saint-Leu district, Saint-Pierre's Park and the floating gardens.
