25mins drive from the ferry…
2 bedroom mobile home
Liked 25mins drive from the ferry
Disliked This place should only be considered as a brief stopover — somewhere to lay your head for a single night before continuing your journey.
Unfortunately, our experience was far from welcoming. The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. Be warned: they require a €350 deposit for damages and cleaning, but seem to automatically deduct €50 regardless, often claiming the caravan was left dirty or citing fabricated damages. I strongly recommend recording video evidence of the caravan both on arrival and departure to protect yourself.
The accommodation is very basic — no oven, no TV, no WiFi access, and not even a kettle provided.
What’s more concerning is the receptionist’s behavior around the campsite. She was seen telling certain guests to return to their caravan by around 8pm, seemingly picking and choosing who to approach at her own discretion.
Overall, I highly do not recommend staying here. Only consider it as a last resort for a quick overnight stay.

From the manager: Hi,
thank you for your review.
At least, they was gaz and pan to boil water.
It is written in the offer that the wifi is near the restaurant and that there is no tv in the mobilhome.
I ask your children to make a little less noise, it was after 10 pm, and this regarding to the people already sleeping. The internal rules at the entrance say the noise is avoid after 10 pm. Maybe we don't have the same meridian time.
The accomodation is a normal accomodation for rent in a campsite (gaz, microwave, and the needed dishes, fridge, bed, pillows ans blankets). The mobilhomes are new. 2024 models.
I can't add, in this answer pictures of the mobilhome after your stay....
A great site with good facilities, lovely level grass pitches.
Power optional grass campsite
Liked Have stayed on this excellent site many times over the last 20+ years. Ideal for a short drive to or from the ferry or Eurotunnel. Stayed for two nights on our way back to UK.
Very well maintained site with great grass pitches. The site has a lot of permanent caravans/lodges etc. Not sure if people live here all year round or just use as holiday homes, but the occupants were all very friendly and did not seem to mind the tents, caravans and motorhomes.
Toilets and showers clean and quite satisfactory.
What did let it down for us was the restaurant/bar. It is all very attractive and is used widely. The menu is boring, unless you like pizza or burgers. Nothing very French like it used to be with the previous owners. I had the small steak with pepper sauce which was very nice, but nothing outstanding. My partner had an omelette, good but so enormous he felt embarrassed leaving half of it. The service was great at the beginning, took our drinks and food order quickly and arrived soon after. But after we finished the main course waited ages for our plates to be cleared and the menu for deserts. All the staff, including the owner/manager seemed to be more interested in talking to the regulars/residents, all very 'clicky'.

From the manager: Hello,
Thank you for your review.
I am surprised that you telling that the previous owners proposed a larger menu. Before there was sausage, bavette, and omelettes. Now you can find pizzas, bavette, rib steak, potchevlesh (typically local), welsh (local food), omelettes, salads, chicken, and burgers. All the food is home made and the meat is local. The fries are fresh and local.
If the meal is too generous, we invite people to take away the extra food.
Each weekend we propose extras for dish or starters. This is the fifth season i run the site, and the food and service at the restaurant were clearly improved. I am sorry you had a bad feeling about the staff. On sunday when you came, we had a very long day because of the "braderie" in the street, two spots service (restaurant and entrance) and the staff had all day work from the early morning until the cleaning after the evening service. for sure the staff was a little tired.
For you complete information, the restaurant is not dedicated exclusively to the campsite, and runs the all year with locals (even when the campsite is closed).
I hope to see you again.

Disliked Ordered bread for the morning - the restaurant/reception wasn't open even at 9.30 so I never got the bread I had paid for.

From the manager: Hello, Thank you for your review.
Yes you have ordered bred, you were told by Brian that the delivery is on the pitch by 9 am. I came to deliver it but nobidy was in the pitch any more. I can refund the bred, please send by email your Iban number. Kind regards.

Good site, great rural location & can still get to everything you need
Power optional grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite
Liked Easy to find, secure with barrier being locked down overnight.
We had a large tent and pitch was perfect for that and our car.
Disliked Bushes to sides need a little trim, we got caught in them a few times when putting the tent up and down.
Was quite noisy one of the nights - think it was the neighbouring plot that weren't there both nights we were.
