See the green hills and valley of the Lot directly from the grounds at Camping Les Chênes Clairs less than a kilometre from Condat: this peaceful place is among lush Lot scenery close to the banks of the Rhue.
This is national park land too: the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park (the biggest national park in Europe) is six kilometres from local town Condat; the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park is just to the south, and the Périgord Limousin, Millevaches Limousin, Monts d'Ardèche and Cévennes parks are within day trip distance. The site's Cantal department setting is also between Brive la Gaillarde and Rocamadour, each reachable within 35 minutes, and is north of the Dordogne river for hours of canoeing and kayaking.
Les Chênes Clairs is a spacious site where a family atmosphere and quiet vibe are the main aims. Facilities include a large outdoor pool with sunbathing area alongside; a pétanque court and and a roomy playground. For amenities, there's a well-kept toilet and shower block as well as a washing-up area, and the site has free wifi.

Local attractions
The Dordogne is about 10 minutes' drive south for fishing and canoeing as well as lengthy lunches and dinners in the towns and villages along its banks. Many local companies can arrange Dordogne trips; ask on site for details.
The site owners also recommend visiting the traditional and fortified villages of the region, particularly Rocamadour, one of the most visited sites in France. There's also Turenne and Collonges la Rouge, each within 15 minutes, as well as Martel and its seven towers within the same distance. Carennac, the old town with 16th and 17th-century houses in the local white-yellow stone, is within 20 minutes.
The Padirac chasm and the famed town of Gramat are each half an hour's drive away.
