  • Peaceful Gers family site among sunflower fields
  • Pool and large sun terrace
  • Popular area for hikers, cyclists and golfers
A site surrounded by sunflower fields, or a site bordered by gently rustling vineyards? No such decisions need to be made at Camping Domaine Les Angeles, as you'll be able to survey both on your strolls around this peaceful family site. Three kilometres from the village of Cézan and down a quiet dead-end road, you’ll inevitably sink into the slow pace of rural life here with some of the gentle distractions. Lounging is actively encouraged on the large sun terrace, with the open-air swimming pool close by for cooling off. The whole pool area is surrounded by a safety fence for peace of mind. Pétanque, volleyball and badminton are among your dry options, along with a playground for the kids. If you need to retreat indoors, seek out the comfy recreation room, which has been kitted out with a pool table and a small library. There is table tennis outdoors. For some livelier entertainment, the site runs a children's club and occasionally hosts some live music or sports matches on a big screen. Croissants and fresh bread are available every morning; just order yours the night before. During the day, there is a restaurant-bar with takeaway options for both lunch and dinner, as well as ice creams, cool drinks and coffee.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Amazing remote location with great facilities and amazing hosts.

All the pitches are great and the pool, pétanque and table tennis are there for you to enjoy.

We stayed the last night of the season and had the place to ourselves.

The owners are so friendly and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful and serene location.

Also watch out for the Red Squirrels 🐿️

Liked: We absolutely loved the feel of the site and the quiet evenings. The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool - it is beautifully empty, and properly deep at the deep end. The hosts were quietly attentive and the site feels welcoming and multinational.

Disliked: Pre-teen struggled with unisex toilets. Also it works out slightly more expensive than expected if you need to withdraw cash to settle up (cards not accepted).

Liked: Such a peaceful site where the children all made friends. Very relaxed with a nice swimming pool and small play area. The hosts were so friendly and helpful and full of knowledge on the local area.

Local attractions

Perhaps ironically for a site where it would be easy to do nothing, there’s really rather a lot you could be doing nearby. If you’ve overindulged at the morning croissant-fest, there are plenty of great walks nearby to help you work off some of the damage among the rural views. Golfers can play a round a half-hour drive away near Auch, and there are canoe tours on the river Baïse from Beaucaire, a 20-minute drive away. Castéra-Verduzan, 15 minutes’ drive from the site, is a spa town where you can wallow in thermal waters or swim at the lake, which has a small beach area with waterslide. Also worth a visit is the city of Auch, 25 minutes away, which has a well-preserved medieval town centre and a cathedral that's now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A half-hour drive from the site brings you to the city of Condom, the capital of the Armagnac region.
